BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

I received my BOWP today (Aug 23rd) and the weird part is I didn't get any emails. so for anyone who is expecting a confirmation. have faith!

another tip is that I didn't submit 'Schedule 1 - Application for Temporary Resident Visa'

Awesome!! Did you check your spam filter? Or your MyCIC account for any communication?

Yea I did check my spam filter and submitted online. I constantly checked MyCIC too. which made my case odd. nevertheless I got it and just so everyone knows that it does happen. Feel free to call CIC call center, they are able to check the status for you which is what I did and found out it was approved on the 19th

I applied for BOWP June 26, paper application. Received the work permits (for myself and my husbands) today August 26, valid 1 year. My old permit is to expire in 1week. right on time!!

Has anyone applied for the BOWP and in the mean time before receiving the permit got the PPR request? Doest the fee for the BOWP get refunded?

In my case, both documents were issued around same time, got the ppr request 1 week before BOWP was issued. Once the document is issued you get no refund. I will do the landing this week so I guess the BOWP will be cancelled...

Hi Guys,

Need Help. Can I hold two work permits (one closed and one open).
I have just applied closed work permit and it will be arriving in month of October 1st or second week.
My current permit expires in Sept 30. Can I also apply for a Open work permit before my current permit expires?
Will they issue 2 work permits. The reason for asking this question is, if I wanted to change my current company later then I need a open work permit to do it right.
Thats why asking. Please share your thoughts or experriences if you guys are come accross anything liek this.

In other case - I haev issued closed work permit and later (before I get my PR), if I want to change my company then can i apply for open work permit even though I have closed work permit valid for 1 year ahead. Appreciate the help in this reagrds.

I dont have the option to reply to your messages since I am new here. I received my Bridge WP on August 21 (Paper Application). I had submitted both Paper & Online. Paper application was submitted on June 24. I havent heard anything on my Online Application though.

I applied for BOWP online last week.Immedately after making payment online, I am navigated to a page where I could see only few text, no pictures, etc.. The page was displayed for 5 sec ..it was written that i need to send payment recipt to visa/immigration office...after that I am navigated confirmation page(Application submitted page).

But, I did not get any receipt to my email/ to MYCIC mail box. Is it mandatory to send receipt to CIC?

If yes, how could I send?

Don't worry about it haha.
If you did it online, there is no need to send a receipt to CIC
the same happened to me, payment went through; my CC was charged and I already have my BOWP.

Just want to share my happy news
Applied for BOWP on July 29th and I had some difficulties to upload my explenation letter - so I just sent my application without it.
And just got the confirmation e-mail from CIC that for both - me and my husband they have issued BOWP until 08/27/2014
