Thanks for your reply. Can I still you this guide to prepare for my BOWP?

It's from 2013, so I'm not sure if it's still up to date.
Everything there seems good except OB485 thing. I did not mention anything about it in my application and still got approved. Just to remember - work permit (expiring within 4 months, nomination letter (without job restriction on it), AOR email from CIC ) these are important things,

So if I apply with AOR from EE, I will need:

  • Valid Work Permit
  • AOR from CIC

Is this correct? as for PNP, they sent me a support letter for work permit extension, but it has my employer name on it. Does it consider a BOWP support letter?

I haven't received ITA from EE yet, hopefully will receive one tomorrow. I got a nomination from BC PNP, so currently my EE score is >1000 points. Based on what you said, my BC PNP support letter is only for closed work permit which I don't want, so should I wait for an AOR from EE and then apply for a BOWP?

Yes, if you want open work permit wait to receive CIC PR file number / AOR.

I was not aware BC PNP nomination qualify for EE poll. So when you received BC PNP nomination, they gave you instructions to apply for PR through online Express Entry ?

You cannot apply for BOWP if you have employment restrictions on your PNP certificate. Your application for BOWP will be refused.

Quote from CIC website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/permit/extend/permanent.asp

Note: If you applied under the Provincial Nominee Program, you must not have employment restrictions as conditions of your nomination.

Yup, BC PNP has two streams, one for EE, one for paper-based.

If you have support letter you might be able to extend your work permit. It will be closed WP (only for your current employer, the same as on nomination) You can send application online (regular WP Extension) or you can go to the border and get your new closed WP there (I guess it is an easier way)
You need to have your nomination, support letter, employment letter and some supporting documents like paystub or T4

Hey, I am looking at BC PNP weg page and I can not find where it says you can apply for PNP PR online

Part 6: After Nomination and Applying for Permanent Residence
Once have been approved as a Provincial Nominee, you and your dependants, if applicable, may then apply for
permanent residence to CIC under the Provincial Nominee class.
CIC will assess that you meet federal security and admissibility requirements to be issued permanent residence
to Canada, including medical and security checks. CIC may review additional information related to your
application and ensure you continue to meet the conditions of your nomination such as continuing to be
employed in the same occupation with your B.C. employer.
IMPORTANT: Although the BC PNP may nominate you for permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee
class, the federal government (CIC) has the final decision-making authority and discretion on your permanent
residence application Canada.

This is what all i find there. Anyway, if you know you can do online then it is good.

For EE BC PNP, you will need to have a valid Express Entry profile in order to apply.

The FAQ section has better explanation

Oh, going to the border is a great idea, since I only need to drive for 45 mins to reach the border. I don't need a visa to do that right? (flag pole).

Need a quick suggestion

I have LMIA processed through employer 1 and working for employer 2 on employer 1's payroll (though internally employer 2 is paying). Employer 2 did not have entity in Canada earlier, now it has. Now employer 2 wants me to join their payroll directly after BOWP is processed as my WP will be expiring in end of Mar 2017.

Is it possible to switch employer on BOWP while I have submitted my PR on the employer 1 payroll basis? What would be the impact on my PR in progress ?

I am unable to say anything right now... Please provide your suggestions.

What you guys are doing is actually illegal. But if you have open work permit, then you can work any company and/or join employer 2 since it's has always been your employer :) Good luck and God bless...

Thanks Azure04.

On the illegal part, it is not as employer 1 and employer 2 have contracts signed for this.

You mean employer 2 is operating under the name on employer 1. While registering their company in Canada. Now I understand. :)
