BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

I have also applied at oct 22, no update so far.

You should get an update soon. I applied Oct 22 and got approved on Nov 21.

I have applied for BOWP on 11 nov 2014 online with AOR and still waiting for the response.
Currently I am on WP, can I join new a employer while my BOWP is still under process ?

Also, Anyone from nov 2014 got BOWP?

Hi Experts in this topic ,
can any one advise me.
my pgwp is gng to expire in feb .so planning to apply for bowp which i will get only till july(since my passport is getting expired in july)
So after applying for bowp and when i received it , can i renew my passport and again apply for 2nd bowp just in case if need.
i have filed my CEC in nov 2013 and no requests/updates to till date.

Yes, you can apply for a second work permit. I am basing my answer on the following comment on the CIC website:

"The work permit is to be valid for the duration of one year from the date of issuance. Subsequent requests from applicants to extend their stay on an open work permit will be considered on a case-by-case basis."

I received an email last night saying:
"Your application has been updated. Please sign in to your MyCIC account and check your application status and messages for more information."

When I check MyCIC account, there are no updates or new messages. I have applied for BOWP on Oct 26. Have any of you guys had this problem? It seems really weird that they send an email without updating the online profile.

Others have reported this before - check every few hours, it should be updated soon. It sounds like the email gets sent before your MyCIC account gets updated.

Nothing to worry about this ,
This happened with me also during my SOWP application time ,
When I called CIC they said , when ever application Open also , notification goes .

So relax

It might depend on which address you sent your application to, please refer to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/vegreville.asp

For new employer applications you send to Unit 555 and for same employer applications you send to Unit 202.

Well i would suggest renew your passport first and then apply for BOWP extension in Feb 2015.. u have enough time and i guess it is always safer to have maximum duration on WP which having a longer validity passport will allow u to have.

I am applying for one or more of the following
-A work permit with the same employer
-Restoration of your status as a worker
-An initial work permit or a new work permit with a new employer
-Temporary Resident permit

online BOWP application timeline is updated. Now processing time is 30 days.

CIC is increasing timeline on weekly basis... Waiting is so painful.

I just applied my BOWP online but I forgot to submit a copy of my PGWP and my AOR....I have mentioned my AOR No. in the explanation letter though. Do u think I have to submitte my copy of PGWP and AOR via email to CIC now..?
