BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Hi All,

Can anyone help me here?

My PR is in process.. I am done with medicals, RPRF and Bio-data. You can see my timelines. My work permit is expiring in december. I know I can apply for BOWP. But my question is can I apply for dependent permits for my wife and daughter as their dependent permits are also expiring in december?

I think u can apply all at once..Experts please say me if i am wrong.

If I send my paper application without an AOR, I've seen some sample covering letters that can be included (these are great), but at this point I don't have a file number.. would they be able to look up my file with just my name and information for positive eligibility for CEC? (I'm timing it so that when they receive my BWOP app they can already see the AOR on their system) Thanks

Actually we are living outside canada but we were hoping to get one as soon as we get the AOR.

Put your client ID in the letter - that's what I did - they will open your file and see whether there is a CEC application, and what its status is.

No Cover letter required to submit untill you want to explain some unique situation to VO

^ For a BOWP application - yes, you probably do want to include an explanation letter, to explain how you qualify for an open work permit (that is, you meet the conditions for a bridging permit).

What do mean by "You don't have client ID"
it is 8 digit Unique number xxxx-yyyy which is presne tin your WP and most of CIC document

I have one question....If i apply under CEC and receive AOR..does it mean that i fall under the CAP of 8000 applications...or there is a still chance that cic can return my file on future date saying that the overall cap has been reached??

If they issue a file number, it means you fall under the cap and good to go.
If the cap is already full, then they will not assign a file number and instead will return the application to you.
