Is it just the AOR all I need to apply for BOWP? given that I might receive AOR on 25th April 2014 and my current OWP expires on 28th June 2014?

Yes you must have AOR to apply for BOWP.

Initial WP was till 30 Jun 2014. I applied for BOWP and received. It's valid till Mar2015. I understand the earlier WP and visa are no longer valid since I have BOWP now.

When u applied for TRV, which work permit did u attach.. the 2014 expiry one or 2015? if its 2015 .. ul get it but dont know how long .. the TRV process is taking the most time from all other processes.. my friend had applied in Dec last year and he got it in Feb this year so its pretty messed up

You can travel cos the immigration officers at the airport dont know whats valid and what is not. As long as ur TRV says its valid you dont need to worry about ur work permit.

Your TRV is totally separate from ur work permit. Its based on ur work permit expiry date but not attached to any conditions.. So ur safe. Just dont carry any drugs
