Billy Bishop has CBSA - no issue flying there from the U.S.Hi, I'll be going to Boston and New York first for 10 days and then from Newark airport I'll be flying in to Canada from Billy bishop airport instead of directly from India. I have heard it's better to land at an international airport but since Billy Bishop has CBSA as well, so it shouldn't be a problem for me to get my study permit and any other services or approvals I would have otherwise gotten from YYZ, right? please help.
Recommend you avoid taking the last flight of the day. You want a flight that arrives early evening at the latest (avoid late evening). Billy Bishop is a great idea in theory but I personally dislike flying through that airport either for business or personal travel. I by far prefer Pearson. Billy Bishop will delay flights if there's fog or other bad weather (while Pearson will continue to fly). And there's also the dreaded 10pm flight stop time. If your evening flight is delayed and can't land at the airport before 10pm, the flight gets re-routed to Hamilton and then they bus you back to Toronto - creating a 2+ hour delay. (Billy Bishop is only allowed to land planes until 10pm for noise control reasons.)
