How? Are you transferring in the United States?

As long as there is immigration there (and there should be) you will be fine.

Yeah, it’s like Delhi - Rome (4 hours layover) - Montreal (4 hours layover) - Toronto (Billy Bishop)

Are you sure? I’ll get study permit in Montreal? My college is in Ontario..

Immigration formalities are completed at the first POE, which is Montreal for you. Ensure you have at least a few hours layover to complete the process.

Yes- we are sure you will get your study permit in Montreal. Visa formalities are always done at the first Canadian airport you reach.

Hi, I'll be going to Boston and New York first for 10 days and then from Newark airport I'll be flying in to Canada from Billy bishop airport instead of directly from India. I have heard it's better to land at an international airport but since Billy Bishop has CBSA as well, so it shouldn't be a problem for me to get my study permit and any other services or approvals I would have otherwise gotten from YYZ, right? please help.

I like Billy Bishop; it places you in the middle of the city. It handles a lot of business travel.

Thankyou, though all the people I have talked to are saying that I'll not get my study permit from Billy bishop as it's domestic airport. Is it true? Will there be any difference between YYZ(Pearson) and YTZ( Bishop) in terms of Port of entry, Immigration, Study permit or any other formalities or approvals. Should I change my flight to - NYC to Toronto Pearson to be safe?

"All the people" you talked to are wrong. If you are arriving at Billy Bishop from the United States, it is not a domestic airport, and you must clear customs and immigration. As you must clear customs and immigration, you will get your study permit there.

They even according this article have CBSA primary inspection kiosks now something you would not have for a 'domestic' only airport. Granted flights into the airport other than domestic Canadian are from the US only but international all the same requiring CBSA and customs checks much same as in the other direction so not domestic.
