Well after passing the senate, its goes to the parlment, after that it will be finished hopefully in june this year

no it is not like that in Canada. It will go for a third reading and vote in the commons maybe within 15 days . After it passes by the house of commons it will be sent to the senate. In the senate it will have 3 readings and final vote or they request amendments and send it back to the house of commons for review. Usually in the history of Canada parliament very few bills were sent back to the commons as the senate is not an elected body as the house of commons which represents the Canadians actually. If the bill is approved in the senate it will be sent for royal assent and then to the Governor general which will determine the date to be effective on a recommendation by the prime minister (this is his only role )

Unfortunately at the Senate there is not only first second and third readings. There is also a pre-study meetings on top which will be ~ 4 pre-study meetings. So the whole Senate stage is likely to be ~7 meetings in total before the final third reading.

The Conservatives were pushing Bill C-24 very hard and it was done at the Committee stage for 8 days back in 2014.

Now the same stage for Bill C-6 took One month and a half.

effective date of 3/5 is most important, Conservative has tried hard to alienate immigrants by putting in bill C24 even for those who arrived before the bill was introduced, they try to divide the country, bill c6 is how the new government unite this country again

There is not much time before the summer recess. From now on, they really need to hurry up with the remaining steps. They basically have couple of weeks left.

The Senate is the key factor as of whether this Bill will be ready next month or it will get delayed.

the Conservative rushed Bill C-24 last year and they get it all done before the summer for royal ascent. This year I trust Liberal will help us and work even harder to repeal the unfair clauses in bill C-24 as soon as possible, we have been waiting for so long!
