Opposing the amendment is what would waste time not the amendments itself

Debate adjourned until the next sitting. (Which is on March 28)

I'm quite new here, but I've gotta say it's really heartening from a civic standpoint to see the energy around laws being made.

If the amendment was not introduced, opposition will not exist

They just simply earn time for nothing, i'm sure there is process to peel in the main law

Stewart Olsen

The 1st oppose !! is now talking
Yes, and he asked "Is there a time-limit for a decision to be made on this amendment" like he wants to delay much more...
I knew it...
And by the way for those who think they care about us, remember this amendment is only to save Maryam Monsef...
Without Monsef, this would never have been brought up...

No there is NOT. For a fact. Also it's "appeal" not "peel". I'm wondering if you know what this amendment is about?

No you misheard him. He was NOT referring to the time for this amendment. He was talking about when someone appeals his citizenship revocation, if there is a time limit on the process in court. No one was talking about time limits on debate or anything.

Why do you want so bad to find a reason that this amendment delays things?

Question: Once the debate about the amendments is setelled what happens ? does the bill goes back to HoC ?

Yes, and if the HoC accepts the amendments (there is only one vote, not like three readings), then it goes to Royal Assent. Only if the HoC doesn't agree does it go back to the Senate.

Thanks

Guys we all want the bill to pass, but i would have been shocked if it passed without amendments, i don't think the purpose is just to delay the bill, liesten to the amendments it may make sense to you
