just a question on the side , WHY DO YOU WANT TO RENOUNCE USA CITIZENSHIP . I always regret i missed a past change that would have let me get usa citizenship ! this is the first time i hear somone who wants to renounce it !!!!!!!

US renunciation has increase many folds since Obamacare when into effect. These people believed and rightifully so that their taxes will go up to pay for this while living outside US. Obama noticed this so he increased the renunciation fees fourfold. He needs these taxes on worldwide income to pay for this.

But even if you do renounce it or green card, you will still have to pay US tax for a few more years- by then Obamacare will probably be abolished already...

we are in same page for delay 2 years very painful, even if this government do not help us to apply earlier, never ever give vote to Conservative who they are living in gunboat century
Dude you cannot tell people how to vote. Every individual is smart enough to select the party they prefer, or not vote at all.

that's why people voted for JT, Wynne, and Trump...

Looking at C-2 , I am hopeful that C-6 will pass without amendments,,,,, just wait

Just Trump ... I still think Wynne and JT were the smartest choices
No they are not, they were all choices based mainly on not having better alternatives, and turned out to be big disappointment as things unfold. KW has been a disaster for Ontario and the approval rating is the lowest when compared with all other provinces. With Trump, we actually don't know how things will turn out yet since he hasn't started, although it doesn't look good. But with JT, we all remember how promising it looked a year ago, and look at now, and I am not just talking about the biggest joke known as Bill C-6

Very off topic

He still has 3 years. Let's please call it a joke when it's effectively abandonned. People are judging JT for not being Harper, and it's not fair. It takes time to listen (really listen) to all the stakeholders and have a fair process. Otherwise it would be easy to give a Liberal Party card to all the Independant Senators and force them to adopt whichever bill with no debate whatsoever.

Going through the other gov. bills in the Senate, I noticed that bill C-6 is the weakest. That's because Sen. Omidvar is not strong enough and is not supported by other senators. The bills that are adopted by Harder, Bellemare or other senior Senators have a much stronger stand and pass faster. The very least thing the adopter of a bill can do is to Nay any adjournment motion to any discussion so to push the bill through the committee; that never happened by Omidvar.

Omidvar was the wrong person to be given the opportunity to adopt the bill besides her seemingly little knowledge of the procedural system of the senate and grouping. Therefore, good luck C-6 in the far future.

BTW, this is another mistake of the Minister choosing the wrong person.
