Guys you have to be patient since many bills are being skipped not only c6
On other hand if you had noticed that liberals made some changes in the committee for some bills.

Trust me once they are ready, c6 gonna pass withing 1 week as c2 and other bills ( Stage 2)

I would like to add some comments, bill c6 dual citizenship concerns, many immigrants who arrived 200 years ago they still have their home country passport.

so take it easy, if you apply today for citizenship or after 12 months its the same.

I would like to add that c2 and other bills are more important than c6 to canadians.

It's on cic web. Check it out under eligibility

Not sure what taxes has to do with your citizenship application? Did you read it somewhere or did you just come up with that?

I am not sure what Senator Frum means by this tweet:

Senator Linda Frum‏@LindaFrum: @juanmenhin Agree. Look forward to committee hearings on C6. 8:46 PM - 6 Dec 2016

That the Bill will be moved to Committee soon.
Honestly the only reason why all the bills are pending for that long is the fact that all of the committees are controlled by Conservatives, which prevents any amendements from Liberals and Independants and exposes to changes coming from the Cons (I like to call them Cons, in French it means a word that suits them perfectly).
Once the Committees reflect the real composition of the Senate all the bills will move pretty quickly.

:) I know what les Cons means in French; funny enough, the english meaning of Con is also suitable for them :)

Sen. Ratna Omidvar ‏@ratnaomi

Looking fwd to hearing @LindaFrum today on Bill #C6 @SenateCA

Ladies and gentlemen, the Senate will have a sitting this afternoon from 1:30 to 5:30 PM EST. C-6 is No.5 on the Second Reading list; and the link to listen live is:
http://senparlvu.parl.gc.ca/XRender/en/PowerBrowser/PowerBrowserV2/20161208/-1/6406

If you ask why bother? Well Senator Omidvar hinted on her twitter that there may be a speech given by Senator Frum about C-6 today. Of course this will not end the saga, as it is another speech among many to come, but it is one more grain of rice in the bag! Senator Frum also agreed on a twitter comment that C-6 is more than the clause regarding terrorists; so she might have amendments or suggestions. These questions and more might be answered this afternoon; or it could be SKIPPED :). Anyone listening to the sitting please update the rest of us. I will try to listen to it if I get a chance.

Frum? We already know she's against this bill, so her speech is not going to help much...

In fact, anything she says WILL help A LOT. The situation of the Bill for several months now has been FROZEN. Nothing happened, neither positive nor negative, and that is the worst situation any bill could be in. If Frum disagrees with C-6 and brings a set of amendments, then it is a step forward to either amend the bill or end it and create a new one. Either routes are better than just having a bill frozen in second reading for months and months.
I said before that we need to be realistic, and for those primarily interested in 3/5 rule like me, it is reasonable to forget about that and focus on 4/6 rule. However, we still want C-6 to eventually be implemented (even if in a couple of years) to revoke other clauses that will make our citizenship a second class citizenship that guarantees us less rights than other Canadians.

Seems bill will not go thru until and unless those set of amendments will not be included. Otherwise they will keep discussion on and or skipped

You will likely qualify to apply under the current rules before C6 will come into effect.
