This is not just about Senators. It reflects the different values of this country from Europe, that is authoritarian rules, people obey, no Human Rights and Compassion.

In UK a few years back, same thing happened, the previous government made a ridiculous citizenship act, but when new government got elected, they used their executive power to stop the act within days in office, they know it's impacting thousands people's life, it's against Human Rights and should be stopped immediately without any bureaucracy in parliament.

In comparison, this whole C-6 drama is a total joke but a very sad reality of this country.

Another example is the Marijuana legislation. It was a clear campaign promise made by the liberals, yet when they took power they said the issue is complex and they need to consult with the US and other countries because of some treaties they signed decades ago.
Marijuana was already legal in four states in the US, then other states voted and made it legal effective immediately (didn't hear them mentioning any treaties). The last date I heard from liberals for legalization in Canada was end of 2018 and even if they meet that date (we know how accurate they are) it will be after 3 years of them taking power.

If C-6 is to make physical presence requirements of 1095 days which is equal to 3 years how come the amendment rules for 183 in each of the last 4 years?
There is a non sense discrepancy!!

It's gonna be rejected for sure

Say you come to Canada in 2015 and get your PR in the mid of 2017, you can use 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 to satisfy the 183 days requirement because 2016 has 366 days. In such situation, you can still be eligible after two years PR time.
