This means that debate will resume with Senator Harder as the first speaker at a later point. Judging by what the speaker said, this will be the case in the sitting tomorrow.

Not sure about that. Sounded like Senator Frum will be opposing again in third reading after amendment is passed.

As for facts,
Two senators spoke in support of amendment. Senator Jaffer and Senator Eggleton.
One senator spoke against. Senator Frum.
Senator Harder adjourned. He is the Government representative. He will open the debate tomorrow and hopefully we hear what the government thinks of this amendment which will be a good indication of whether this amendment will pass or not.
