thank you. Will do that wayGoldline said:Your method is correct. that's what I did and I put "today" instead of "present", but if you wanna put application date that's fine too.
One more thing, YOU can't be leaving in 2 places in the same time...on june 20, 2013 either you're in the previous address or the current one so I would put it this way.
2013.06.20 to today
2011.06.20 to 2013.06.19
I'm in the same boat. I will be eligible to apply on 2015-07-15.Goldline said:Hey Mike here is your residence calculator result:
You do not meet the basic residence requirement, nor have you been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days.
According to the information you provided and assuming nothing else changes, you will meet the basic residence requirement on 2015-01-05
, and you will accumulate 1,095 days of physical presence on 2015-07-15.
The day they received the application.superlinky said:I'm in the same boat. I will be eligible to apply on 2015-07-15.
How does CIC determine the date of application? By the date I signed on the application, the postmark, the date they received the app, or the date they processed the app?
No. The date of the application is when you SIGN it.aarongirl said:The day they received the application.
According to the situation about the new processing fee, they said " Applications received on or after February 6, 2014 that do not include the correct processing fee will be returned" I dont think they will determine the date of application by the date you sign it.Goldline said:No. The date of the application is when you SIGN it.

I actually ran the dates again.. I was off my one day.. Im actually eligible on the 17 april 2015..glowingheart said:its pretty simple

the received date is when they receive it and stamp it
the process date is when the offices starts working on it
Don't even think about it. The postal operator you choose can clearly (and will) reveal the postal stamp. If you post-date, you'll get it back in your mailbox as a nice gift...Mike_45 said:I actually ran the dates again.. I was off my one day.. Im actually eligible on the 17 april 2015..
So what if i sign it a day ahead and send it on the 17th?
Either way by the time they recieve the application it will be 18th?
Do u guys that would work? I really dont wanna wait for another 2 years bcz of 1 day lol
And where exactly would you suggest we call to find the answer? The Prime Minister's office? Why don't you try that yourself and let us know how far you got.thepolestar said:Please Guys, Can we please stick to the topic. I know every question is important to someone who is looking for the answer but we have different heading and questions in different sections.
This topic belongs to Bill C-24 and its implications and of course effects on us.
Also, as few have pointed that the bill is coming in effect in July 2015, seems to me absurd at this point. If the government has rushed the bill like a rocket it must have its reasons. We have not yet got any official confirmation. A call to CIC call center will not be the right place to look for the answer. Can we believe the word of a call centre agent.
I am hopeful by next week we will have some official word from the Government.
So if i sign my application on the 17th april 2015 and send it out (that will be considered my application date), considering the CIC wont receive it until prob the 20th because of the 18th and 19th being the weekend? I will still fall in the old rules??glowingheart said:its pretty simple

if your dates are that tight I will cancelMike_45 said:So if i sign my application on the 17th april 2015 and send it out (that will be considered my application date), considering the CIC wont receive it until prob the 20th because of the 18th and 19th being the weekend? of course, considering the old rule upholds till april 19th 2015, like some of you have suggested..
Thanks everyone, I know its far far away.. but i need to know should I cancel my vacation or not.. lol because if I am already out then i will go, if you think there is chance, I prob will cancel the vacation and bite the bullet for the cancellation fees..
Just to make sure, you mean cancel the vacation.. rite?glowingheart said:if your dates are that tight I will cancel
this is my case
been in Canada since Jan 2008
became a PR in Jan 25 2012
my application date was supposed to be Jan 25 2015
went on a 10 day vacation and no the calculator says
physical presence date is Feb 14 2015
thats 20 days so they are using my half days I had plans to go to 30 days to Europe over the summer but no way cause that will push my application date 60 days further
i can always go next summer
