It's calculating the 2 for 1 ratio of pre-PR days.

Hmm so it is calculating the days right?

they count pre-pr days half, but if you are away take away 2 days!??

I am cutting it pretty close.. It says im eligible 17 July 2015, I read some one said C-24 comes into effect 19 July 2015..

HOPE THATS TRUEE!! ??? ???

That makes two confirmations of the July 19, 2015 date from CIC today. It's making me feel somewhat better.

I have been following this forum...Thanks for all the info.. you guys are awesome.

My situation is.. Came to Canada in Sept 2007 as a student

PR Jan 2013..I was out of canada for 3 months in 2013.. (1June - 1Aug)

But when i calculated the eligibility for 1095 days on the calculator.. it comes out July 2015

When I did it manually in my head (Simple Maths) make up 3 months missing, it seemed to me, i should have been eligible by the end of April or early May..

Why such a drastic difference, it seems like the calculator is counting the absent days twice? :-X :-X :-X
You must have done something wrong. I can tell from this already :
I was out of canada for 3 months in 2013.. (1June - 1Aug)
1jun2-1Aug is not 3 months !!
Now what are the exact dates you stayed in Canada If it's from Jan 1 2013 as a PR and you spent 2 months outside Canada you'll be eligible on Jan 1 2015 + 2 months, that's on march 1st provided you spent at least 2 years(2years = 1 years(half day for every day you stayed) as a student before becoming PR

just taking advantage to clarify one issue that I have .
I'm also going to fill my application soon and wondering how to list the time that I lived with my addresses.
to put simple.
1. How do you list the dates?
for example do you start with the current one and go to the previous three years.
like 2013.06.20 to present
2011.06.20 to 2013.06.20
is this method correct?
thanks in advance guys for your kind response(s).
Your method is correct. that's what I did and I put "today" instead of "present", but if you wanna put application date that's fine too.
One more thing, YOU can't be leaving in 2 places in the same time...on june 20, 2013 either you're in the previous address or the current one so I would put it this way.
2013.06.20 to today
2011.06.20 to 2013.06.19

I was confused too at first. But there is an easy explanation:

Hey Mike here is your residence calculator result:
You do not meet the basic residence requirement, nor have you been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days.

According to the information you provided and assuming nothing else changes, you will meet the basic residence requirement on 2015-01-05

, and you will accumulate 1,095 days of physical presence on 2015-07-15.

Please Guys, Can we please stick to the topic. I know every question is important to someone who is looking for the answer but we have different heading and questions in different sections.

This topic belongs to Bill C-24 and its implications and of course effects on us.

Also, as few have pointed that the bill is coming in effect in July 2015, seems to me absurd at this point. If the government has rushed the bill like a rocket it must have its reasons. We have not yet got any official confirmation. A call to CIC call center will not be the right place to look for the answer. Can we believe the word of a call centre agent.

I am hopeful by next week we will have some official word from the Government.

I do not know what is going on? The cons maybe have some steps back after both the results of elections in Quebec and Ontario. That is a good idea when you make people frustrated and angry, then you give them something to make them happy!!! Hundreds of thousands of PRs are frustrated because of this Bill and then the cons say will accelerate giving citizenship to 80% of applicants before elections??!!! what a psychological impact on new citizens??!! They will find themselves in front of voting polls ,voting for cons!!!! Going from an extreme to another, that is the human psychology!!! Bravo cons.
