I received a passport request today. A friend of mine received a passport request 2 days ago. It looks like the Beirut office shedeen hemeton with sponsorship applications. Nshalla you hear something soon!

Great news Akcec! Mabrouk I haven't received anything yet, I know how you feel waiting for him, but I really think we will hear something this month hopefully as akcec is saying its abt time and we should be hearing something! It's takes a lot of patience and can be very frustrating!

These are three women.. in Lebanon was waiting for PR visa...
It seems that it takes longer for men than women !

aandjcanada.. in your case, is it the wife or the husband who is in Lebanon waiting for PR visa ?!

Im waiting for my PR the wife my husband is Canadian! I'm not sure if woman or man sponsor effects the process....great to hear that applications are moving forward I'm still optimistic abt March dunno what to think hehe

No I didn't mean "who" sponsors (man/woman) affects the timeline.... I meant if the PR is for a man, it seems that it takes longer... because there are some extra checks like military documents to be checked..

Mmmm.. but yes in your case... it is taking longer than me, even you are a woman who is waiting for the PR

Oh.. I don't know... let's be away of assumptions and just wait

When should you expect passport request after receiving a request for additional information and police clearance renewal?

They need the police certificate renewed to start the security clearance stage.. This stage can take from 3 weeks up to 4 months...

Do all passport request letters say 30 days minimum? What's the average? Is it less than that? Do they mean 30 regular or business days? Thanks

How long did it take to get passport request after they requested you to renew police certificate?

Hi All,

I am sponsoring my wife (Syrian) and currently live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I am Canadian citizen with Lebanese origin. I have some questions hopefully you can answer,

1) Since my wife is Syrian, will my application end up in Beirut VO, Amman VO or Abu Dhabi VO, or it depends on the authorities in Canada?
2) I have to get the Police Certificate for my wife since she lived more than 6 months in Lebanon. Doe she have to be physically in Lebanon to get the certificate or her brother can get it for her?
3) Does the Police Certificate have any validity period?
4) Do I have to attest the various immigration documents requested (i.e. Marriage cert, Police cert, civil status cert (single and family), ..etc) or just translate them into English? If YES, Where I have to attest each document?

Lets just say its been 5 weeks since we submitted a renewed police certificate for my spouse and we have NOT received passport request yet. We are still waiting... Im not sure how long it would take, feels like forever.
