Someone that submitted their passport please tell me how you / your spouses did it. Ye3ney did they put passport and pics in an envelope and put in drop box at embassy? Or do you hand it to someone? And what do you put on the envelope other tha. pR processing ?!

Hi everyone just told you that my wife got visit visa! We apply 2 months ago and monday she go with her passport and they stamp the visa. For the permanent resident visa, they ask a new police certificate. Do you think its good.

My parents went to the embassy yesterday to drop off the medical papers and other requested documents, the box is no more there, they had to take a number and it took them 2 hours to drop off the papers inside the embassy, so the box has been removed, I suppose because of the saw dust incident, when they suspected a dangerous substance.
I think you should tell your husband to come over in person.
When my wife got her visa last month, she had to go inside and get her passport by hand.

Hi guys this is what i got from our MP today
Im not sure if its good or bad, how long does the bacground checks take ??
I heard from CIC today. Here is what they advised. Please see the notes I have from them.

-sps in beruit
selection positive
back ground still in progress
-meds val oct 8/13
-feb 6 /13 note on file
"passport should be req right after the results are in for back ground....(original)
proc up to 19 mos (will be april)
close to end

they suggest, should you not hear from them we should follow up with a status inquiry in 30 days and continue to do so every 30 days. They stated this file appears to be waiting for one thing, the back ground checks.

If you guys have any information about this please help me, what the hell is note on file? And selection positive ?? Also in an older email our MP said they have done my background checks

My hubby is still trying to figure out how to submitt his passport, I guess he will send it to his bro in Leb and his bro will take it to embassy on Tuesday and pick up on Thursday. Wish us luck

you suffered alot it is now in the last days of this situation, after medical maximum 3 month
also by her visit visa she can come to canada and wait here
realy happy for you best congratulation

Yes I emailed them and they said if you want someone to submitt and collect your passport they have to present. A copy of the email for PpR and letter from my hubby authorizing his bro to do that. So I guess it's ok inshallah he will send it to Leb next week.

I have an important question you guys. I heard from a freind of mine today that as soon as you land in canada as a new PR the officer at the port stamps somthing in the passport not allowing you to leave Canada before 2 months ( or until you get PR) IS THIS TRUE???? My hubby will come and prolly leave after 3 weeks to finish somethings back home then ill send him his PR card by mail or i will take it to him and come back later together. SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW THE RULES ABOUT NEW PRS WANTING TO LEAVE CANADA WITHIN A FEW WEEKS AFTER LANDING?!?
