I did the interview and after she finish of asking me questions about my wife and everything she told me we will give you an answer within 3 weeks. I don’t know if that is a good sign or bad, if someone has an experience with that please share it with us.

Yesterday I got this email from my MP:

Please find below the response our office received from Beirut. It is verbatim:

Please be advised that we are waiting for the results of background checks. Unfortunately, we are unable to give a specific timeline for this stage. This being said, be assured that we are doing everything possible to process the application as fast as possible.

Also, this morning my hubby got a call from the Canadian embassy in Beirut asking whether second medicals are done. He completed them 2-3 weeks ago. The lady said she will contact him back and to wait for their call.

they said that to my wife before two weeks when they finished asking her, but also they told her we will send for you by e-mail what medical tests are required.
so one week left we are waiting but dont worry it looks like everyone should wait the three weeks after the interview with some exceptetions for the final decision.

btw, most of the ppl that were there were wtng for 8-10 months maximum wnobody was on the forum. my husband asked the cdn immigration officer why ne7na 20 months, he told himbecause it went to syria w in reality my application never made it to syra.

1) what is the name of your spouse, when is her birthday
2) How did u meet?
3) where did u go for ur honeymoon (asks to show pictures)\
4) does she know ur parents, sisters, brothers ( asks to see pictures)
5) u r few years older than ur wife, how did ur mom react to that?
6) is ur mom ok with the relationship?
7) does ur mom and wife talk to eachother?
8) do u have any pictures for ur wife and ur parents?
9) what r u planning to do in canada?
10) do u have any plans... my husband said he has a job wtng for him
11) name of children ( i have 2 kids from my previous marriage)
12) name of ex, relationship to kids (there was none)

people ahham tkouno relaxed, the officer is canadian and he has his own translator. ahham shi to relax, and hayda aktar shi b rakzo 3leh. they wanna c how nervous u r. ktir b rakkzo 3a emm l3aris aw l3arous, eza hennei radyin bl relationship. if husband or wife is differen religion, kameina b rakzo 3a hayda lshi. they try to ask the ques in many different ways..just keep ur answers short and truthful.

l officer told my husband, i have few more questions before i give u ur visa, i need to hear some answers. so henei kamein they r looking to hear some answers b4 they issue u the visa.

I have a question : my husband is living in Saudi now and when we got the passport request it didn't mention anytgig about sending passport via mail?! Does that mean he has to go to Lebanon. !? Or can he send via mail? Or can he get it stamped at the Canadian Emabssy in riyadh?! Someone please reply!

I hope so Moey! Wallah u are in my thoughts always, I have a feeling for this week. I have a question because I'm confused. So when they take the passport and pics they put it in envelope and submit where at Emabssy??? And then can someone submitt passport on someone's behalf? And can they pick it up? Does anyone know ??? Please answer because my hubby isn't in Leb now so he's thinking of sending passport to his bro in Leb to submitt is that possible???

Well I'm not sure about the passport, but i have sent many times papers to the embassy using a friend, he just had to drop it off in the box outside, but i think its different when it comes to the passport because, your husband shouldn't give his passport to anyone, so i suggest you email them.
tell them that your husband is outside Lebanon, and if its okay to submit it in the embassy there or should he come, also ask them if its okay to send it with his Brother
I'm sure they will answer in the same day, because this is urgent. I'm sure they have conditions like this all the time, so they will have a solution for this
