My name is Dana and i am a new member of this forum.

i am canadian and submitted the sponsorship application for my lebanese husband August 9, 2011.
we were asked to re-do the medical exams october 3rd and submitted it october 18, 2012.
on our e-case, it says the following:

We received your application for permanent residence on August 9, 2011.

We started processing your application on October 29, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

and it states : IN PROCESS.

what is the next step? security check?

Tina I've been waiting since 2 months too and nothing yet, when did they reply to you like that, 1st email or after so many emails ? ? ?

Hi I am new here I applied for my wife since April 2011 reached damascuss June 2011 got a email from embassy in damascuss September 2011 that maximum 13 months from the day of receipt in September 26 2012 requested medical exam police report and bank statements till now I didn't her any thing from them I and my daughter Canadian and I applied for my new baby for citizenship also and I am still suffering. Another thing I couldn't check my e-case I tried every thing

Another thing I get an email in 7th November that what the still waiting only the medical clearance and they will contact me , the ,medical results mailed in 10 th of October
Any one have an idea it will take more time ...???.?.

I think it is very soon for you because in their last email they said just the medical, and they did not say any thing about security screening that means it is done.

unfortunately i forgot the exact date on when the documents were sent to Damascus, but we received the certificat de selection dated november 21, 2011.. so i suppose around that time ..

the papers are worked on by Quebec.
i have a question : if the embassy emailed us asking to redo the medical exam and also to provide them with another criminal record, as well as 3 forms to fill up, do we still have the security screening step to go by ? - the enveloppe was deposited in the embassy's mail box october 18, our e-case states in process, with only mention of the medical exams received (this was stated long time ago, since we got access to our e-case online-)
