Wilderness..don't forget that there is a deadline for the medicals, make sure you do them before..
That is what they wrote for me in the email:

Visa Validity:



Once issued, your permanent resident visa will expire on 10/07/2015, which is the validity date of your medical examination. If your passport expires on an earlier date, the visa(s) will expire on that earlier date.



You must travel to Canada and present your immigration documents at a Canadian Port of Entry before they expire. The validity of the visas cannot be extended.


I will be going in September so ma ktir fakkaret fya..bass I don't knw if they write the months or the day before..maybe u can knw better...so it's either 10th of july or 7th of October 2015..

They're making us jump through hoops now. I redid my medical exam in August. Today they send an email asking my husband to prove that he will reside in Canada once we get the permanent residency. He'd already sent a letter with the application explaining all this? Why are they making it harder?

Since then i havent received anything from them.. Is there anything i should do? Did i have to send Beirut VO any document / paper?

Do you have any idea how long it's taking at Beirut VO to get the papers done?

It varies a lot. Some people get it after three months, some people wait for two or three years. I've been waiting for a year and a half.

I'm in the same boat ,but we just applied for spousal sponsorship 5 months ago on April 7,2014
I have a question, I noticed that for the majority the whole process is taking around 15 months ,that actually lifted my spirit up ! -Although anything more than 6 months is really way too much time to wait until you can join your spouse !! - when me & my husband first started dating , the processing time as per cic website for Beirut applicants was 17 months and now it's 24 months average for 80% of the applications within the last year
Please tell me which one is closer to reality ?? 15 months or 24 months?
Also when should I order my CAIPS / GCMS ? Do I wait another 5 months to do so?

I think it's closer to 15 months. But it depends on your file, your situation, and a whole lot of luck.

Right now I applied for a visit visa and I provided letter from work ...
I'm also gathering papers for academic evaluation of my engineering degree, and obtaining a permit from the order of engineers in Quebec ,maybe if I get it I can apply for jobs and go on a work visa as dual intent. Has anyone else in this forum tried this path?

Hey all still waiting, hang in there I know this process is extremely frustrating. I have a question in regards to the client application status. Its been 11 months since I applied. The only status update I have received since 6.5 months ago was that my application was received in beirut and that my medical reports have been received. Does it necessarily have to say that my wifes application is in procesa for them to have started the processing, I really.hope.not . Any insight would be much appreciated.

well yeah that's all you get,they tell you that your sponsorship was approved by e-mail.And when you check the status there's only 1. and 2. as you said. They leave us hanging in silence from their part till the end of the road (hopefully) when they ask the sponsored person for a certain renewal of a document (medical report , sejjel 3adli ...)or an interview.
You can order the GCMS/CAIPS notes now,they are more indicative of the process as I hear.The bring forward date will tell you when your application will be put on an immigration officer's desk for formal assessment
Nchalla it won't take long , it's almost been a year for you guys so Cheer up you're almost there

Didn't you receive the letter from CIC that states that you were found eligible as a sponsor and that the PR application has been forwarded for processing ?
Also when once you log in to check the PR status using the application number and your spouse's credentials ,doesn't say "Application in process" in the first page ?
