Thats good news! hopefully soon we will get the updates.Masriixo said:Okay so update.
She just sent me a screen shot and it says in process. We started processing June 4th....
Inshallah mine will change soon since we applied so close together
Yeah, If my timeline is the same as hers mine should change into In Process by sometime August.dedoz said:Thats good news! hopefully soon we will get the updates.
My application was mailed out in March, so I should be getting the in progress this month (which i dont think it is going to happen.).Masriixo said:

We will be in Amman from August until January anyways so I dont mind because I'll just go to the embassy everyday.
No dont say that! hopefully it will change! You have to stay positive Dedoz, amongst all the negativity.dedoz said:My application was mailed out in March, so I should be getting the in progress this month (which i dont think it is going to happen.).
Thats a good plan to go to the embassy every day. give them a hard time 8)
I like that especially the Falafel part lolMasriixo said:No dont say that! hopefully it will change! You have to stay positive Dedoz, amongst all the negativity.
And dont worry I plan on going every day from 8:30-11:30... Ill bring a pillow and blanket, and maybe some Falafel too....
I know how you feel...I made the decision to end my career and move to the UAE to be with my husband....at least I can be with him because as a Canadian it's relatively easy to stay as a tourist in the UAE for a long time....now I need to find work here because we need to build up our income of course....but it's not easy not know how long we will end up being here...Masriixo said:I dont understand how they can make people pause and uproot their lives for 24 months. Its unacceptable. I want them to put themselves in our shoes.
I literally have had work my school around being able to see my husband. We are still newlyweds and I dont ever want to be far away from him. I left him in May to come do my Spring semester at school and it has been so so difficult. At the same time he's sitting on his Dentistry Degree in a foreign country with a foreign language. Now I have to re-up my life again and fly back to be with him in August.
Honestly it would just be better if by the time our case is at the VO they should give our spouses some sort of visa to start to settle in Canada.
Ugh it just makes me so flustered....
I agree it would be nice if they could at least give visit visas so that we can go to Canada and begin the settlement process....it would be nice if my husband could start making contacts so that when he finally gets there, it might be easier to find work.Masriixo said:Honestly it would just be better if by the time our case is at the VO they should give our spouses some sort of visa to start to settle in Canada.
Im sorry Chilkootcee, I know how it feels to have your case moves somewhere else. E-mail the Amman office with your S/O's proof of status (resident card, work permit, etc) and they should move your case if they havent started processing yet. (which they probably havent because mine has been there since May and its still not in process.)chilkootcee said:So I received SA as of Jul 30 and found out that my husband's application was sent to Amman. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed because the processing times are so long compared to Abu Dhabi. We had requested that his application be sent to Abu Dhabi.
So at least we now know. I think some people have had their applications processed somewhat quickly. I'm hoping we don't have any issues because he wasn't able to get a police clearance from Syria (we included a letter explaining it of course)
Anyone else hear any progress on their application? Hoping everything goes smoothly and everyone is reunited with their family in Canada soon.

I can't seem to find the thread that you listed the timelines in...can you post the link?dedoz said:I have done the same for Amman and post it in one of Amman threads. It was a very interesting experience reading how things progressed for people, and how they were complaining and waitidng. to be honest i felt sad how Amman Vo let people suffer for 24 months. Humiliation!
