I am currently looking at applying for the BC PNP as a semi-skilled worker. I currently work as a front desk agent and have for the last 10 months and have over 6 months on my current visa to begin the application. I appear to meet all of the requirements for this and really want to apply. However I have had a few people say to me that you must be on an LMO-sponsored visa in order to apply under this route. I have then had some people say that you don't and it is not a requirement. Does anyone have any more information about this as I can not find a definitie answer on the website?

No. You don't need LMO. I asked about that question to the BC pnp office and I got the email below.
I hope this helps.

Dear ______,

If you are considering applying under the Entry Level and Semi Skilled program then you must have completed 9 months of consecutive full-time work prior to applying to the BC PNP. This work can be conducted under an open ‘working holiday’ work permit but cannot have been conducted under a ‘co-op’ or ‘work integral to program of study’ work permit.

Full-time in B.C. is 30 hours or more per week.

Take Care,

BC Provincial Nominee Program
Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development

I think I mentioned above. It's BC PNP office. I'm sure you can find their email address on their website.
