No, no updates...
Now they are processing applications from May, mine from July 22, should be end of January...
And the Christmas is coming, holidays, so probably that will slow down the process as well...
I need to call CIC tomorrow and ask if I can work on the cruise ship, since I have seaman's visa still...
That will save me financially till decision is made....
Cheers to all.

Guys, no need to worry about Christmas holidays.. B.C PNP office remains off only on 25th dec, 26 dec and jan1 ..
So I don't think this gonna effect processing time.

I called CIC office today, was waiting for 15 min:)
I was told that they cannot a decision for me finding a work while I wait for PNP decision...
So I sent email to PNP office...
dont know anymore who to address this question...

Hi CanadaPC,

Are you waiting for PNP while you are on Visitor visa ?

I was wondering if it is easy to get a visitor visa if work permit about to expire and pnp nomination not received.

hello everyone. Just want to share highlights on a info meeting held by BC PNP here in our town. They announced a cap to be processed this year. They will do only up to 4,100 files only for 2014.

Hi Ninfo

its up to you actually...for my case extension of IEC was not allowed, so the only option for me to stay is as a visitor while waiting for PNP. So probably it wont be before Jan or Feb...
Still long time...

Please make sure this information is correct : "I don't think this gonna effect processing time."..many people here wait for reliable information, not opinions.
Thank you

From my calculations ***speculations based off the information at hand*** they are processing roughly file numbers in the 2400-2600's at the moment, off the basis they are approving 20-25 applications a day they won't even make it to 4100 this year.
45ish working days at 25 a day = 1125 + 2600 = 3725 (approx).

I HOPE they make it to 4100!! But I wouldn't be holding my breath.

I was told by the person in their office that they are doing the best they can, they have increased number of applications. So, nothing to do just to wait...and have patience...I am planning to go on the cruise ship for couple of months if i pass the interview and come back if everything goes well.
And after this nomination we need to apply for open work permit and again guess what...WAIT!
:)

My Application was recieved on 4th July by the BC PNP office... Any idea how long it will take for things to materialise? Haven't got a call for my medical yet.
