This was copied from the EE FAQs on CIC website. Some people say you cannot apply through EE if you are nominated before submitting your addendum. I guess this disproves that.

8. How will provinces and territories use the Express Entry system?

Provinces and territories will be able to nominate a certain number of foreign nationals through the Express Entry system to meet their local immigration and labour market needs. If an applicant gets a nomination from a province or territory, they will be given enough additional points to be invited to apply for permanent residence at the next eligible round of invitations.

Just as they manage their own Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) now, provinces and territories will set the criteria they use to nominate Express Entry candidates.

Express Entry candidates may either:

-enter the pool first, and then be nominated by a province or territory; or
-be nominated by a province or territory, and then complete an online Express Entry profile.

Note: All prospective candidates (whether PNP applicants or not) must meet the criteria of at least one of the federal immigration programs managed through Express Entry in order to enter the pool, and must submit their application online.

Provinces and territories will also continue to be able to make nominations under their regular (“base”) PNPs outside of Express Entry via a paper application process.

Note: The Province of Quebec does not use Express Entry. They select their own skilled workers. See Quebec-selected skilled workers to find out more.

9. What is the process for potential candidates who want to use both a Provincial Nominee Program and Express Entry?

There are two ways to do this. A person can:

-apply to the PNP first, get a nomination and then fill out an Express Entry profile; or
-fill out the Express Entry profile first. Provinces and territories can then search the Express Entry pool and ask a candidate to apply for their PNP.

When the candidate gets a nomination certificate, they will update their Express Entry profile.
In either case, once a person updates their Express Entry profile to show they have a provincial or territorial nomination certificate, they will be given enough additional points to be invited to apply at the next eligible round of invitations.

Under my account it says only Evaluation in progress (red letters). Thats it.
Maybe they havent even started...

Finally got my application approved on Feb 27th 2015! File number 4192. She also sent through a work permit support letter. They received my application on July 17th.

Very nice lady rang me on the phone to verify i was under implied status (my work permit expired on the 19th October). I sent my extension application off on the 17th, which ended up being my saving grace in proving I am on implied status. So it's a good idea if you are on implied status, to have some sort of record of sending an application as it's near impossible to get confirmation from CIC that you are actually on implied status.

Hi everyone, My file number is 14-449*. I applied on 28 July and got AOR on 8 August.

My PGWP expires on 6 March 2015(this week). I was going to apply for a visitors visa but an immigration told me not to do it.

Has anyone on PGWP applied for visitors visa and got it?

Can you please tell me what is best in my situation?

This PNP application really has no pattern to follow. Waiting..and waiting...

Does this mean that people without LMIA, with nomination from the old stream cannot even apply for the Permanent residency under Express Entry? Because it clearly states there that LMIA is a must for EE, but doesnt say for the PR residency too under the EE stream...

Anybody know more information about this?

i missed your post.
I am EE eligible. But I'm thinking about using EE or go through old stream. Because the current lowest point get invited to EE is 808.
I calculated my own point and even after the PNP application it will only be 700+ so I'm not to sure my self.
Another consideration point from me is..after May I will be graduated from my university. I can apply for postgraduate working permit, but you know postgraduate working permit is only issued once.
I was hoping my approval will come faster than that the worst possible situation at least I can back to school and graduate again...

Ah, this is frustrating, nothing we can do just wait. My application even earlier than zacnling, he got it faster.
Good for him actually. But :'( how about mine...Any news about those applying before us? like those May, June stream, are they all already accepted?

if you are EE ELIDGIBLE, YOU CAN APPLY FOR IT! Did you receive addendum?

I think without filling out the ADDENDUM you cannot be considered under the EE stream, even if you fill out EE under MY CIC ACCOUNT.
