That's what I was told from BDSkilled that that was until yesterday during the fair .

I am a little confused, Regarding the fare. According to Jet's website DHK - BOM - LHR - YYZ (The route BDSkilled choose, and a pretty decent route for us) fare was BDT 57619. After 15% discount it should be BDT48976.

Well the booking agent offered me 57700. As Emirates is costing around BDT 98531. Jet is the most affordable option.

Can any one confirm that what is the regular price of this route. ::)

Dhaka-Delhi -Brussels-Toronto,ON (YYZ) = BDT 70,056

Better talk to Sohail Bhai please ,but I got a little idea that the fare they determine considering different issues like buying a round trip ticket ,number of tickets, the time of buying etc.

A few things to Consider in choosing your airlines.

0.1 Fare
1. International Reputation
2. Food, In flight entertainment
3. Quality of Aircrafts ( Jet's BOEING with Emirates's Airbus A380??? Are you crazy?)
4. Pilots ( Indians with Europeans and Canadians?, you must be ..... )

Sohail, Can you check Qatar, Kuwait Airways, fares to London and the rest by Air Canada? Emirate's Return costs like USD $1451 , this too comes down when there are more or less pressure of passengers. Would you want to board on aircrafts with no Screen behind every seat?? Dont ruin your 1st ever flying experience to Canada.

One guy told me that Lufthansa is very cheap from India, only USD 832.6761

One more thing to consider that, TransAtlantic flights operated by US allies are the prime targets of terrorists.
I'd not risk my life boarding on Any country's airlines that has got threat from the terrorists.

Dear Friends,

15% Discount is possible only for JET not for AIR CANADA

However I have made a special request to JET to extend the discount period.

Why don u consider Cathey Pacific.....only 5 hr one transit in Hong Kong (Dhaka to Hong Kong by Dragon Air).....fare is also cheaper than Etihad and Emirates.....in addition of jnathan's info i think u ppl also shud consider no. of transit and transit period. And obviously the Air Time.

Dear Sabbir,

What is the One way Tariff?
Its Even Higher than Emirates

Depends when u r intending to book.....as one of my frnd booked on next Feb and the fare is Tk. 71,000/- (approx). And for Emirates it is Tk. 96,000/- (approx) and for Etihad it is 89,000/- (app)

Transit no. & duration:

Cathey - one (hong kong); 5 hr
Etihad - one (Dubai); 1 and half hr.
Emirates - one (Dubai); ten hrs.

Dear All,

Today I received visa for three of us. :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Thanks to all for their huge support at the time period......

I am very happyyyyyyyyy:::::::::::::.........:::::.......

ripon,

please share your subsequent plans, how youre preparing yourself to leave your country, which airlines, how much money and in which form, if you got any friend there, where are you gonna stay and in which city of Canada and why.

Sabbir,

I was also thinking about Cathay Pacific and Dragon Air (they have merged in 2006). Dragon is good and leaves zia at around 10-11pm at night everyday and then using a Boeing 777 they go to Vancouver and I think rest they use Air Canada. Cathay is obviously a good choice as you mentioned.

One drawback of Emirates is they don't provide anything like snacks or something during the lunch to dinner breaks or Breakfast to Lunch breaks. This annoyed my cousin a lot a few months ago. DAC- DXb flight was good and food was excellent. Another problem is they use a Non AC bus to carry the Emirates passengers to and from the Airport. This was so bad in terms of their reputation. I'd still experience the A380 at least once operated by Emirates. its actually a big confusion and a combination of Time, Money, Aircraft and Airlines preference, Transit hours, Transit time stay in hotel or at the airport and arranged by whom, One or return as One way cost almost close to return fare.
