Those PCCs r the initial steps towards an in-depth security clearance. The security check consists of two codes... SECCRIM & CDEC. SECCRIM is done based on the PCCs. CDEC is the last straw before stamping the PRVs.
It usually indicates that u have cleared your meds. However, your security clearances remains incognito until u have the PRVs.

Dear Qorax,
Hi, hope you are fine.
I have got an important news to share with all of you.
I have faxed a signed letter to CSIS whether they have received any request from CIC to do a background check on my application.
A few days ago, I have received a response from CSIS thru snail mail, signed by a CSIS officer that they have received a screening request from CIC on Aug 2 2011. My letter was dated Aug 1 2011. CSIS said the security screening process is in process and they have also said that in the year 2010, they have received close to 265000 security screening requests from CIC, so they cannot guarantee a specific time when the screening would be completed
My visa office is Paris.
My medicals were delivered to the Paris Medical Office on July 4, 2011. In the AOR which I have received from the Paris visa office, they have said it takes about a month to get a final medical decision since Paris visa office is a Regional Program Center ( it has both the medical and immigration offices in the same office, so no need to calculate any extra days for the express deliveries, e.t.c. ).
My medicals were delivered on July 4 2011. Ecas updated on July 11 2011 with MEDICAL RESULTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. Aug 2 2011 they have requested CSIS for a security check on my application.
My interpretations from this are given below :-
1 / MEDICAL RESULTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED means exactly what it says, nothing else. You have previously indicated that it normally means that medical results are guaranteed OK. I disagree. If they were OK, why my ecas was updated with MEDICAL RESULTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED a week after sending them the medical results ? I doubt they have evaluated my medicals within a week's time.
In the AOR they said it takes about 1 month to evaluate medicals. One month from July 4 2011 is Aug 4 2011. on Aug 2 2011 CIC requested CSIS for a security check. it confirms what they have said in their AOR.
Hence I would say that MEDICAL RESULTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED means exactly what it says. Nothing more, nothing less. It means medical results of the applicant are in the hands of a medical officer pending evaluation and final medical decision.
2 / SECURITY CHECKS BY CSIS ARE ALWAYS CONDUCTED AFTER FULL AND POSITIVE EVALUATION AND ONLY AFTER MEDICAL RESULTS HAVE BEEN EVALUATED. Only when the applicant is considered medically fit, CSIS begins their work. CIC will never request CSIS to do security checks before medicals and before they are 100 percent sure that the applicant is qualified for a Canadian PR card.
CSIS security check is the last and final step before PPR. When the security check is complete, no further checks or evaluations are pending, the passport goes to the visa printing office for stamping the passports with Canadian PR visas.
Do you agree with me ?
My other questions :-
1/ my medicals were delivered on july 4 2011. since i have heard nothing and the fact that CIC has requested CSIS for a security advice on my application, I have the right to assume that I HAVE PASSED MY MEDICALS. what do you think ?
2/ all of the background and other verification checks by CIC have been completed as well. what do u think ?
3/ how long does CSIS take to complete the security checks ? my medicals were delivered on july 4 2011. CSIS received a screening request from CIC on aug 2 2011 and they have responded that it is in process.
CSIS said their procedures include automated record checks, manual records checks and related research and consultations.
4/ may i assume that CSIS screening is the FINAL procedure pending before PPR's and visa stamping ?
5/ Ecas update MEDICAL RESULTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED does NOT mean that medicals are OK, it means exactly what it says i.e. they have been received by the visa office pending evaluation by a medical officer. what do u think ?
your response would be highly appreciated .... on all of the above questions in order to help all of the members in this forum.
