We, ex-service personnel, face always a delay due to our b/ground checks... 'coz whatever/however they approach MOD they wouldn't get a response. Thus, the VO's rely on our documentation, a Mil. Questionnaire (u'd get it too), repeated one-to-one verifications with the applicant & sometimes thru the interview.

With your Service Book they r yet doing their 'research' - your b/g checks r 'on' - it'd take a bit of time but u'd be thru eventually. Relax & keep the faith !

Dear qoarx,

I hope you are fine and doing well, I found you as trouble shouter for all forum members. I appreciate your support form all forum members. God bless you. please give me your comment on my case as well:

I am 2007 SAP applicant from Afghanistan. I got documents up-date letter from CHC Islamabad on Feb 22 ,2011 through e-mail. than I sent all my original documents to them accept IELTS result because the date of exam was changed by British council in Kabul. I explained them this in a cover letter with my documents and asked British council to send my TRF directly to CHC Islamabad on May 25,2011. Since than I have not received any feedback from CHC Islamabad. All my original documents are there, six month passed but there is no news. I am getting worried. normally how long takes between sending of full documentation and medical request.

Best,

Dear Sir Qorax,

Need your advise. I Hope you remember my situation where a line for added in my ecas 3 months ago saying "Medical results have been received" line and waiting for PPR and nothing happened. You advised me saying that may be the checks are still going on and usually this time of the year Things are slow.

I have send a case specific inquiry before a month and I got the following reply today from the Singapore CHC

"Dear Sir

We are still pending your RCMP police certificate.

In order to serve our clients better, we will NOT acknowledge receipt of documents or answer further correspondence. Please wait to hear from us.

Immigration Section
High Commission of Canada/Haut-commissariat du Canada
One George Street #11-01
Singapore 049145
Fax: 65-6854 5874 "

Now, I have never been to Canada . However my Wife lived in Vancouver for 10 years. I guess RCMP means "Royal Canadian Mounted Police" and they are still waiting for it.
my question is as we live in Thailand

1. How long it would take to get this certificate.?
2. Do we have to do anything like approach the Canadian embassy to send the fingerprints or something like that or we just wait till this process is finished?

appreciate your advise on this. Thanks

regards
charlie

Thank you very much for explanation.
In am still slightly confused they requested my spouse to pay right of perm. residence before they completed background check, as they could still technically deny me based on background check.
So If visa Processing time in this Embassy is 6 months, and my status went from "we received your application" to "in Process" 60 days ago, I assume , there should be about 4 more months to go?
Thank you very much

If u otherwise make the 67 -- u stand eligible for further processing.
If the relative isn't in Canada during your [entire] processing pd -- u don't get the adap. points.

thanks Qorax

Best,

B/g checks r case specific -- it'd thus be quite impossible for anyone to predict. In your case it'd take a while -- that region is such... However, since the ADR u should be hearing something from them in 6 month's time, which u have already Xed... So why don't u send them a query?

Yes, she'd require the RCMP clearance in order to proceed with your case. Pls read the procedure/details here:

Your assumption is correct, however sometimes those timeframes cannot be relied upon. Also yes, the RPRF could have been submitted later... however, sometimes sending it earlier saves us a couple of BF'Ds, Meaning: avoidance of some addnl processing time... It's good that u sent it already... Relax & keep the faith!

Master Qorax or anyone, what message would appear in your e-CAS when you already have PPR? Would email come first before any update in e-CAS or the other way around?

Anxiously waiting for PPR after e-CAS showing medicals received in the week of Nov 1.

Thanks!

Thanks!

The next e-Cas status after 'MR' would be 'DM' - which'd only occur after your pps r stamped. Nothing in between.

Thanks Qorax ,

1.so you are saying that my wife have to obtain the RCMP Clearence? As we have not received any correspondence from Singapore VO to submit this, should we wait for this letter or just go ahead and start the process of applying the RCMP

2. Secondly when I courier my fingerprints to Ottawa to get the RCMP, would they send the police certificate back to me and then I pass it to Singapore VO or the RCMP would pass it directly to the Singapore VO

Appreciate your advise

thanks

1. I'd go ahead w/out their request... It'd save time.
2. It'd be sent directly to your VO, under no intimation to u.
