Background Check in progress due to delay in Criminality Section (Security Passed and Criminality in progress) and No Fingerprint requested.

If anyone has or had the background check in progress due to delay in Criminality section and Security Passed, and no fingerprint requested, please share your experience.

I am sharing my application details and timeline.

Ghost update yesterday, nothing obviously changed but they put stars with "new update" on all my previous milestones (citizenship test invitation, citizenship test marked complete etc) so I assume it means someone just looked at it again?

Do you have family application? As same thing happened in my case too, i also got ghost update , but my wife's application actually got changed to background completed.
Seems like in case of family application, both applicants get ghost update, even in case there is actual update on only in one of the file.

I submitted my fingerprints last year and had my BG verification completed on Jul 12, 2021 now it was marked as in progress yesterday. Why would this happen? I travel a lot but I'm still within the physical presence...

I requested ATIP and from there I got to know. Also, IRCC agent tells what parts are completed.

Security and Criminality together make the background check.

Got it. By IRCC agents, you mean if you call them to follow up on your application? I didn't know you can follow up by phone

Yes. You can request them. They will give you information in little detail.

nothing unfortunately, still waiting on oath. I am not super happy about the situation but contacting IRCC (or my MP) yields no extra info, they basically just say to wait...

still april 12 there is no update yet , call tge agent they said criminality is done , background ddint start yet ..
