Hi guys,
I have applied for Spousal PR application to sponsor my husband ( outland application) on 16 August 2024. I have few questions regarding his application status if someone can help me. I would also like to mention that My husband had a TRV refusal as well which was applied last year in September 2023. Here are my questions-

1. On 18 September 2024, I (Sponsor) received an email that confirmed Application received but it does not have Acknowledgement of receipt. Will that be in separate email ??
2. On 19 September 2024, My husband got an email says that his account got updated but it shows old application number which was for his TRV application in 2023. However, the email which I received has a different application number, why I got 2 different application numbers?
3. On September 27, 2024, my husband's account status got changed says,'' We regret to inform you that you do not meet the eligibility requirements". This account is his old application account which we used for his TRV visa last year. So, we are not clear which application they are proceeding with.
I would really appreciate if someone can provide me any feedback or suggestion. It is really confusing for us.
Thanks,

Hi,
The AOR you will receive after you submitted the application.

Here is what I received December 5, 2023:
We received your application and we’re checking to make sure you’ve submitted all the required forms and documents on the document checklist. If your application is incomplete, we’ll return it to you without processing it. If your application has all the requested forms and documents, you’ll get a message confirming we’ve accepted your application for processing.

Then I received AOR on January 13, 2024:
We sent you a message telling you we received your application. We have now officially started processing your application.

The application number has to be the same the only different number you will have is the UCI. Can you try to link or create the account with the new application number? If that's possible or give IRCC a call and explain.

I have no idea with TRV means.

I submitted everything Dec 5, 2023 and Feb 2024 my spouse completed biometrics & medical exam (passed as well) and now its September 30, 2024 and eligibility and background check still in progress and no updates. Also they do not require additional information/documents and no interview is needed.

I just don't understand on the IRCC site says eligibility in progress and background was in progress and then it changed to not applicable. But on the application tracker background shows in progress but eligibility not started.

TRV means Temporary residency visa

Hows things going August applicant's?

Same situation for me submitted august 1st Aor august 31st No other update.

I'm seeing a lot of persons that submitted in august however after getting AOR receive medical & biometric then soon after they get sponsor eligibility approval and pre arrival then background check in progress. I see a few others that are stuck after getting AOR but the vast majority I see have already completed medical and biometrics. so it kind of sucks to be left out and confuse but that's how this process can be at times. there are persons I see who got AOR over three months now and still have no other requests

Yeah man tbh when I saw people getting BIL 2-3 days after getting AOR it bummed me out too, but I think overall process seems to be going fine. Hang in there, you and your loved ones will be together soon.

Thanks bro I hope so I really don't want to end up in a long track waiting a year or two. I'm praying for a 6 months process being doing long distance for over 4 years now and not being able to be with my wife and son is a killer specially where they can't come and visit me

What does the prearrival mean that your spouse received on September 26?
Its a letter basically giving out some links to prepare for a new life in Canada and some resources you can use to make it easier.

basically a step before you get a Passport request and you can ignore this letter as it doesn’t require any action on your part.

My husband just received this today. Does anyone know if this means that my application is changing where it's being processed? Do I need to call someone in order to know where it's being moved?

You can also consider comparing your case timeline to the cases here, there’s literally a couple of cases from August 15 that I saw and it looks like you’re all moving at the relatively same pace: https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-spousal-sponsorship-tracker

The first part looks like a SA letter (Sponsor Approval) to me. The Principal Applicant will get an AIP too which means your eligibility part is completed.

However, I am not sure about this part "...The Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) will be forwarded to a visa office for further
processing."
