I applied online for myself and my husband, and linked our application together. We got the test invites on the same day, and I just saw that my LPP are marked as complete. However, for my husband, his background verification is still in progress, so is his prohibition, but other parts except ceremony is marked as complete. He never received any request for finger prints, documents etc. Is it normal for background verification to be stuck in progress while the rest of the application is complete?

Same for my partner and I! She got her ceremony date 5 days ago! I'm still waiting on LPP! Have seen similar trends on this forum and outside. A couple friends of ours having the same experience, they applied back in Feb 2022! She got her passport this week! He is still waiting for LPP!
Not sure why! I don't want to generalize these observations and make a conclusion, but there are several cases where guys get a slower case processing!

I suppose there hasn't been much movement on LLP for August applicants yet? At least nothing on the tracker sheet indicates any updates after March 8th

Looks like your spouses application is stuck on BG Check (either Criminality done by RCMP or Security done by CSIS)... One way to know is by calling IRCC or by ordering GCMS notes from CBSA
