Just found out that my sister's application (AOR August 25, 2018) has been eligibility passed since November 22, 2018 and since then no movement through CSE.

Background check is still not in progress and still waiting on her GCMS.

Anyone on the same boat?
Same here 22AUG AOR...all passed but security pending...BGC since 22Nov

did they also put your overall eligibility on RR because of POF?
Yes, but only the settlements funds need officer's review, A11.2 and R75 are passed.

No one can really what causes the delay but overtime it has been noticed that due to other organisations/countries involved, security check takes longer than the usual. What were you told about eligibility and criminality? CIC is unpredictable an alot of patience is needed.
When I managed to get them on the phone, they basically told me everything was clear with the exception of the security check. But for like many others, it hasn't moved forward since. Btw, is criminality and eligiblity two separate checks ?

Exactly the same AOR date. Waiting on GCMS notes for clarification.
Would you mind sharing your GCMS once you get yours? I'll share hers too, should be arriving some time this week.

When you say security, does that mean that your criminality has passed then? Her's I'm not sure, we're just told that BG check has not started yet.

Hi guys! My AOR is August 3rd CEC-Inland and found out my app is currently in Edmonton. I also applied for a study permit extension August 28th...SP ext was transferred to local office in Edmonton for further review on December 11th. Been over 7 months now for PR and a little over 6 months for the study permit. I have ordered GCMS notes as of last week. All I know is that my BG check is in progress. According to CIC agents, eligibility is still being reviewed.

Although I am on implied status with my study permit, I am wondering why they havent provided a decision on that. Would you say it is because they are expecting to provide me with a PR answer first? I am patiently waiting for one or the other. Is it normal for CIC agents over the phone to not want to tell you if you are in RR or the status of your eligibility? I have contacted my MP again as well. Would you say most of us August applicants with eligibility not passed yet are in RR?

Thank you guys. And special thanks to @tobs for helping all of us.
Same thing happend with me then i applied for gcms notes. I came to know that my crs dropped bcz i dont have a workpermit or lmia. I was on implied status. I dont know whats gonna happen now. My aor is 28 aug fst

Hi, did they ever pass your eligibility as per your GCMS after the fact that your CRS score dropped?

I agree....Sydney VO is the slowest of all the offices...even slower than local VOs....
I've noticed confusion in multiple places, like immitracker amongst Sydney, Australia & Sydney, Nova Scotia in Canada.
Some applications are handled from start to finish in the CIO in Sydney NS.

Just a comment

Might not help but worth a shot, you can maybe try raising a CSE through webform and ask more details why your eligibility is under review.
