For visa exempt applicants from Ottawa in the August and September threads, that hasn't really been the case at all. DM came before a PPR e-mail asking for photos, photocopy of passport, annex A, and a prepaid envelope.CDNPR2014 said:No, not necessarily. it's going to depend on the visa office and whether the applicant needs a visa to travel to canada. Many visa offices do it differently. Technically, the application can't be "approved" until the RPRF is paid, so i would imagine people won't see DM until at least then. For visa exempt applicants, DM generally means the approval paper has been mailed out, and for those requiring a visa to travel to canada, DM can mean the passport request has been sent/or will be sent.
