Today my PR application status changed from "received" to "in process". What does this means and where it is? Actually i didnt received SA but Through call i came to know my application is approved. Is it with vo or cic? Please let me know

I've been really busy lately. I surely have missed some of your good news announcements. Please accept my late congratulations, all of you who got either a SA, an AOR2 or a DM! Really really happy for you! It's remarkable to be happy for people we never even saw or talked to, and have the feeling the do the same!

Wife and daughters were as happy as clowns the day we got our SA. We ruled a "family holiday" yesterday: no school for the daughters and a day off for us, with a wonderful afternoon at the beach (we had 36°C !).

In my case, I came to send my CSQ (Quebec SA) this morning only to realize that BOTH my credit card and my wife's CC are about to expire, which is very risky because we use a form to authorize the Quebec Immigration to withdraw a certain amount but we have no idea when they're gonna do it, maybe in a week or maybe in a month time! (And no, they only accept payments by international credit cards).

So damn it! I phoned the US president personally and even the pope to ask them to intervene on our behalf with Visa! (J/K there but you got the picture!). Visa accepted to issue new cards and send them back to us in less than a week, a record time according to them!

We better laugh this off!!!

Yehey, I just checked my email after reading this. Got AOR2.
The only thing I want to send is additional relationship proof, coz I already submitted all.
Oh and NBI clearance again, coz it said has to be within last 6months , mine issued last feb

I had received request for new PR Photos fr my husband yesterday via mycic. LVO claims that previously submitted photos are not according to specification. Though we went to a fine studio and I measured those after they were printed Shocked

Anyways, we went to another big studio in Dubai yesterday and got new ones expensive ones. The filipino photographer confused me regarding the instructions about the "crown of head to chin". The instructions ask that the distance from chin to crown should be between 31-36mm.
Does crown of head includes Hair?? My husband has more hair and no matter how much we brushed them with water, they didn't become flat. She measured 36mm from chin to top of the hair and the distance between his chin and top of forehead was 25mm.

Secondly the shoulders did nt show completely because if she tried to include the shoulders then the face measurements changed Undecided Now the final photos I have show the face in the middle of the photo. The distance between chin and top of forehead(from where the hairline starts) is 32mm. However from the top of his hair to chin is 39mm. Are these ok??? I scanned a pic and uploaded in mycic as per instructions but i still need to send out the printed version. Guys plz comment, Thank You

I'm pretty sure crown is the very top of your head, so not where your hairline starts. Imagine if your husband was bald, then the crown is the top of his head. It sounds like you can't really see the top of his head because he has so much hair? Then maybe you should shave his head and start again Just kidding
So you know what the measurements were on the rejected photos?

There you go! We are on the same timeline - almost, and probably we will be getting the update same time. I will get my NBI, too, I got it April, so exactly 6 months this month...

Would you mind share what's in your MyCIC update, I still don't have an access to the site

congratulations to you and your husband , as for sure we do have very similar cases . same nationality and Visa office i really appreciate if you can answer me following Questions :

1- did you or your husband has received any SA email or your file has been transferred to Ankara and you have just received AOR2 ?
2- I also like your husband used to leave outside our country for many years , do you think it is an advantage ?
3- if you want to party for this visa applications do you want me to invite best Dj and many same nationality gusts ?

AOR1 received 5th October

I am sorry, I was quite busy yesterday and couldn't get back to you sooner. Thank you so much for your message. I truly wish that, this process will be easy for whoever is going through it. It is not easy to be separated from your loved ones. Nothing lasts in this world other than goodenss. We should just love one another and try to help others as much as we can

To answer your questions:

1) I am the sponsor, therefore I received the AOR1 and SA. After our file was transferred to Turkey, we didn't get AOR2. The status of the application has changed to "in process" in ECAS. There was also one line in ECAS that said they had started working on our application since October 05 (there were 3 lines in total: 1) the date they had received the application in Mississauga, 2) the date they had started working on the application in VO, 3) the medicals had been received). That's how we know VO was working on our file.

2) I can't answer this question because I know what their criteria is. I don't know how they conducted his background check, whether it was initiated in Canada or not. But we had his police clearances upfront. I am planning to order my ATIP notes after my husband lands in Canada to understand how they processed our application. Maybe, there will be something in there that could help other people. I believe (mistakenly purpose) most of the work was done in Canada. I just feel like 5 days is too short for the visa office to do all the work that needs to be done in a file.

3) Once your wife comes in Canada, we could all party. I am sure my husband would love that
