Hey is ECAS working for everyone who received a UCI?

Got my number last week and still can not access ECAS ???

We got our AOR1 Saturday (the 10th), and we still cannot access with ECAS. We have tried everything to make it work! We were able to link the account with CIC though.

Congratulations to everyone who got AOR1 and SA recently.

I finally called the call centre the other day, since the CIC received my application on August 5th and still no SA, and I got an agent that was really helpful.

First, she found there was a typo in my email address, so I sent a enquiry to get that fixed (although they still managed to send me my AOR1 by email back in August). However, she said that the CIC hasn't tried to send me any correspondence since then.

Also, she said that since I'm over the sponsor assessment time, she'll send a reminder to the officer that's assigned to my application. She seemed to imply that we should see a decision made "soon."

I also ordered the sponsor portion of our GCMS notes last week, so hopefully they'll help to shed some light on our delay. The sponsor portion of our application, at least, should've been a fairly straightforward case, so I think processing times can vary greatly depending on the officer assigned to a file.

Great... the things that come out of pure initiative!
Simply waiting is not always the answer.

Hi everyone,

I updated the August spreadsheet. Some of the info is missing for some individuals such as medical dates, visa office location and etc.. I hope I didn't make mistake entering people's info :) it would be nice if the August applicants can take a look and update their info or enter whatever it's missing ;D 8)

I'm glad it worked. I know how frustrating it is, I wasn't able to link until after SA was approved.

I don't have any UCI number yet, therefore I haven't been able to access ECAS yet, but I am assuming it should be the sponsored person's UCI number's and info, the same as the MYCIC account, where you link your application. Another applicant who has has access to the ECAS account might be able to help you with this..

Hi Fatima786,

1. I used my UCI number (I am the sponsor), my date of birth, last name and place of birth
---I already have the UCI number ever since I became a Canadian citizen (it's printed at the back of my Canadian Citizenship Certificate that's why I was able to put that information while I was filling out the forms). When these information are used to check your application status on ECAS, both the status of the sponsorship application and the status of the permanent residence application (on a table) will be shown.

2. Using your application number or the receipt number, either the sponsored person's or the sponsor's date of birth and place of birth should let you log in to ECAS as well. :) The only difference is that when you use the sponsored person's details, the status of the permanent residence application will only be shown (the sponsorship application status will only be visible when the sponsor's details are used).

I didn't get an AOR but I was able to access ECAS since last week :)

Just an update.

I got an e-mail today saying my application was updated on My CIC but still haven't been able to access it since last week Friday. Before that it was fine. Then all of a sudden, after receiving my AOR1 e-mail, it's been saying "application status is unavailable please try again later"

So I finally just called and the lady on the phone was very helpful. She also cannot figure out why there are technical issues BUT she was able to tell me that I was APPROVED as a sponsor! Yay!

She said she would remind the officer to send a letter to me. So hopefully I get that soon so I know which VO it was sent to.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Yayy! Congratulations! :) That would be such a relief :)

My application was received the same day as yours, and I got an email yesterday too telling me that my application has been updated. The Review of Eligibility portion was changed to "Review in Progress". I hope you would be able to access MyCIC again soon :)

Thanks!!

I'm able to access ECAS and there's nothing different there, so I'm assuming that the e-mail I got with a change was simply the same as yours, "review in progress". But regardless, definitely happy to know that I was approved.

Hopefully, I'll be able to access it again at some point!
