AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hey all! I received my AOR1 e-mail last week Thursday and am able to access my ECAS account. But ever since I got that e-mail, My CIC shows "application status is unavailable please try again later"

Has anyone else experienced this? Before this happened, I was able to see that table that listed all the different steps of the process. I'm wondering how long I should wait it out before I call to see what's going on.

Can anyone say how long it took from the day you sent your application to when CIC said it was received? Our lawyer sent ours so I'm not sure when it actually got there. Thanks!

The anticipation is brutal -- I sent our application via FedEx on Aug. 29, it was received in Mississauga on August 30, 2016 so now we wait for the AOR.

My wife is living in Manila and I am in BC, I would love to hear from others who are sponsoring their Filipina wife and are living in the GVRD.
It's so nice to know that I am not the only one who has stressed over this application process; I am checking my email everyday on my phone while at work hoping to see that we are moving through the que but nothing so far.

What a strange thing it is to have to prove to someone that your relationship is genuine and ongoing... we never thought it would be so important to keep boarding passes and receipts, etc.

My Application status are as follows:

Sponsorship
1.We received your application to sponsor on July 21, 2016.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 12, 2016.
3.We started processing your application on August 11, 2016.
STATUS: DECISION MADE

Permanent Residence
1.We received your application for permanent residence on July 21, 2016.
2.We started processing your application on September 7, 2016.
STATUS: IN PROCESS


I am just confused because it says that Decision has been made for me as sponsor but I didn't received any email stating if I was approved as a sponsor or not.
But my husbands application was already sent to the visa officer in the Philippines and say in process as of September 7.

Does this mean that I am already approved to sponsor?
Kindly give me some insights in regards to this..

I don't think you will receive an AOR anymore.. since, they've started evaluating your application, you're good to go

I would say so. If the sposorship application has been refused, they would've let you know. But the fact that they have the file transferred to the Philippines already and is now being processed, then that must be an indication that you were approved as a sponsor.

That's good to know! thank you so much for your thoughts. I am now thinking that maybe they just didn't update their file yet that's why I didn't received a confirmation of the approval... Staying positive!

Hopefully your lawyer sent the application by courier and not the old snail mail. I hope you will post when you get your AOR so that we might have an idea of how long it takes. It seems that it is taking about 20 days based on some of the other posters that I have read.

1) It's taking about 21-23 days to receive AOR1. Some receive SA in about the same time.

2) You're listed as a member after 10 posts.

Since Friday of last week. I received the AOR1 e-mail on the Thursday (the day before).

EXACTLY 3 WEEKS TODAY , NO AOR1 yet....
