. Our Application has been inParis since January 2016 , Never got any update till three days ago , when on sponsorship side it changed from in Process to DM applicant side still says in process , Why they would even update the sponsorship side , I got approved for that in March , So I knew that much was ok , they started processing my husbands application March 16 2016 , still no update , no additional document request ... Nothing ... THIS IS DRIVING US CRAZY :'(

Hey guys, you're not alone at all. I still have yet to receive my formal SA letter. I did, however, talk to an agent over the phone and they confirmed that I was approved as a sponsor.

Here is my timeline...

ECAS Sponsor Side -- Decision Made
1. We received your application to sponsor xxxx on August 16, 2016
2. Dependents listed are xxxx (non-accompanying family member)
3. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application on September 8, 2016
4. We started processing your application on September 7, 2016

ECAS Principal Applicant Side --
1. We received xxxx's application for permanent residence on August 16, 2016
2. We started processing xxxx's application on September 15, 2016.
3. Medical results have been received

MyCIC --
Application/profile status - Open
Review of eligibility - Review in Progress
Review of medical results - Passed
Review of submitted documents - blank
Scheduling an interview - Not needed at this time
A background check is needed - Not started
Final decision - Not started


Once I got my AOR1 email, my CIC account stopped working. It kept telling me that the application was unavailable. But just the other day, I logged on and it finally worked again (see above for what it says). I've called CIC a million times (ok, only 3 times) and they keep telling me that I will receive my SA letter soon and that they've already made a note for my officer handling my case but it's been now exactly 1 month (30 days) since I got my AOR1 e-mail and I still have no SA official e-mail or letter in the mail.

To those that have gotten SA already, does ECAS show you another line that says they sent you correspondence that you were approved as a sponsor?

For ours, on the Sponsorship side it says what yours does and then has an additional line that says " We sent you correspondence of decision made on September 27th". Yours, on the PA side, says more than ours does. On our PA side it only says "We received xxxx's application for permanent residence on August 23, 2016." There is no mention of processing, or medicals. In our SA letter on Sept 27th it did say it was being transferred to Accra. I have heard for Accra they don't provide AOR2, so I'm not anticipating any more updates. And I can't log in to MyCIC because we have a representative and I don't want to mess with the correspondence. The waiting game is truly on now. It's so frustrating how some officers updates and others don't. It leaves us fearing the worst.

Hi there, My husband received email of SA oct 7. Not sure how long it will take to get AOR2 or none.

How about your Mycic account what's status?,
ECAS still only first line , application received lol but Mycic just updated today background from "not needed this time to "not started.

on MYcic account, the eligibility is review in progress, medicals passed and background check is not started. I don't think there will be any update any time soon.

Did you got Aor2 email from your visa office? If yes than when ?

No, we didn't get any AOR2 email. I read that Ankara visa office doesn't send it so we weren't waiting for it.

I got AOR1 on September 8th and have yet to receive a formal SA letter by e-mail or mail. I was told over the phone and on ECAS that I've been approved as a sponsor but I haven't gotten correspondence about it yet.

That's amazing, I am not on ecas, but linked to MYCIC, and it shows open on MYCIC account. I called a few days ago and all they told me was that my application is OK and under review and should wait a little. I would call again just like you did and see if they will have another news for me. The system is pure torture.

I guess, I have been able to link my file using my hubby's UCI, his name, DOB and place of birth. This is what I saw on the CIC website. We received your app to sponsor xxxxxme on August 18,2016
Dependent listen on the app is xxxx. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your app on sept 15, 2016, we started processing your app on sept 14, 2016. We sent correspondence on sept 19, 2016 about the decision on your app. That was my hubby's part, and mine says, we received claudi12 app for PR on August 18, we started processing claudi12 app on Sept 29, 2016. Could anyone shed a light on the above? What does it mean in terms of remaining steps to process? I also know that my file was sent to Sydney. I don't know if I can link my on file to CIC since we do have a representative. However, that said I was able to link my hubby's info to my file on CIC. Please any explanation will be much appreciated.

6 months Bank statement ( applicant only ) approx CAD $2000
Proof of relationship - MC
Proof of Income ( applicant ) - Payslip, Income Tax Return ( 2015-2014-2013) , Certificate of employment
And a letter - my purpose of visit .

guys, need clarification... when ECAS says, "Medical results have been received." I know that they received it obviously, but what am trying to confirm if it mean something other than that? In what category I should consider this? Who received it, my VO or Mississauga office? Sometimes, waiting make us hard to understand... haha, hope you guys understand! Any comment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. Good luck to us!
