Oh.. how long it took you to re-send required documents ??? i send it back to them in 1 week . Overall in 3 months, my file was transferred to New Delhi. i think around 3 month is the average time for first stage for all New Delhi applicant.

when they asked me on sept.29 i submitted it on oct.23rd..

So does that mean that it's "in progress" now? If you look yourself us to check your status online does it find you in the system?

Hey new girl.. I'm not sure they didn't say if its on process.. I tried to check my status online but there's still nothing..

Wew!! just checked my email and received a letter from CIC that my application is to be forwarded to visa office in the Philippines.. Weeeeww!!! Staying postive!!

Is there anyone else on here who originally submitted their application in August and then sent in updated form still waiting for SA or am I alone here??

I submitted my application middle of August, they sent me an email Sept 23 requesting the new form. I sent it on October 14, they posted application received on October 15, they asked me for another document on Nov 14 and told me the number that appears in the letter they sent me in Sept was my Imm file number but without the X. They have my email but I have not received any further emails. Now I see that on Nov 27 they made a decision about the sponsorship but they sent a letter in the mail and I still havent received it, I called CIC but they just told me to wait for the letter in the mail and if I dont receive it by the end of December they told me to call again and they will get the office to issue me another one :-(

Our sponsorship approval letter took 3 weeks to arrive after the sponsorship was approved. We called and they siad the sponsorship was approved on 12 of november and they sent a letter, it arrived only yesterday. They are not particularly fast actually mailing out those letters I guess.

Usually if you call the call center they will tell the sponsor if they've been approved as a sponsor... If you are getting a letter in the mail chances are it is the approval of SA.

Keep us posted, I'm really hoping you hear something soon! I honestly can relate I was feeling the same way just a couple weeks ago. Hang tight.

Hey everyone... My husband and I got really lucky - we applied outland from Brazil (I'm Cdn, he's Brasilian). We waited about 3 months for our SA... but then in less than a month after that, our online CIC status has been updated to Decision Made! The predicted wait time after SA for Sao Paulo visa office on the CIC website is 11 months... for us it was about 1 month. Anybody applying from Brazil: things are moving quickly! Everybody else: keep your hopes up, because you never know!
