Your police certificate is valid if CIC received it within 3 months of issue to you. If they don't send it back and you got it in before 3 months had passed (as long as it stays in their hands) the police cert is good for a year from issue.

My police/FBI clearance was dated for April 28th or 29th, and we sent in our application the mid of August... Hoping this won't be a problem and they'll give us a grace period!
Also, anyone getting any SA approval ? I checked the times and it said processing for SA was 46 days vs. the 56/58 days it originally said (However, I havent had enough time to really check so this may be a dated thing).
Our application was pretty straight forward, and I'm hoping they'll see my husband and I are only 3 hours away from each other (Michigan>Ontario) and will give us a quick answer? Here's to hoping. Hope everyone continues to get good news!

Received an email on Tuesday, Sept 23 asking for August version of IMM1344. Filled and faxed back to CIC. Also will scan and email a copy to be sure. Disappointing development considering other Ottawa applicants have already received sponsorship approval.

They didn't tell you to physically mail it in? I didn't see a fax or email option on my request for IMM1344.

"Postal Address"

Documents/information can also be sent by email...lists email and officer code.

Documents/information can also be sent by fax...lists fax number.

I hope they will accept those two forms of transmission. They must if they are giving the option. Anyone else deal with this that can lend any advice?

Generally u can fax or email documents. For official forms I believe they usually prefer originals only. They may have listed fax and email as a general statement at the end of all their document requests... but I have never seen them accept forms in any version except original in the mail because they need original signatures. I would mail the original in addition.

Thanks. that is the plan. Wouldn't mind saving the 25 bucks if email/fax is acceptable though.

Odd that they would disclose specific number/email address and an agent "codename" if it were a generic message.

Update: Just got off the phone and fax is OK. I guess it is because of the office handling the file (Mississauga). Is the only one that accept faxes. Lucky.

We recieved a request for the updated IMM1344 today. So releaved that the whole application is not coming back ) Sending the form tomorrow, hopefully they will get it in a week.

I think we really need some more SA's on our August spreadsheet....it is looking pretty thin! ;D

I think next week will be a big week...average has been 50-60 days in the last few months...so keep fingers crossed!

Our apps are sent on Aug 16th and CIC received on Aug 18th..They send an email to my husband on Sep 17th to re-send updated form.We filled up again and I think yesterday was arrived to CIC .. Now waiting :-/

Anyways Congrats to all who got aproved app , hope the rest of us too will share with you a good news soon

Nothing i have'nt heard from them since theyve rcvd my package july31...im worried with that updated forms too.i just cant remember what versions i filled out..but so far i never rcvd any email for updated forms.

I think they are not supposed to ask you for new forms if they recieved your application on July 31. The letter they send us says this:

"applications received on or after August 1, 2014 must include the following forms:

• Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM1344 08-2014 or later);/...."

Since your application was recieved before August 1st you should be fine. The new version was probably not even avilable then. I might be wrong, but I think you will hear from them first when you get your SA approval, which hopefully will be soon as the timeline on the website says they are working on applications recieved July 31st
