Have yet to hear anything about SA... Sent our app in August 25th. Hoping we didn't mess anything up! So anxious and nervous. Seems like everyone is getting SA except for us.

No, no. We're in the same boat. Received on August 19th. Currently trying to get through to the Call Centre to check they have received the additional form that was sent 2 weeks ago, since we haven't heard anything and are well over "normal" processing times...

Alright, maybe I can breathe a little better now.. When I sent in our application I verified that no new forms were updated, but they were. So we hurried up and did the new forms and sent them in with our application. So I doubt they'll request new forms. My only other thought is my husband forgot to write outland on our packet, wondering if maybe that put us a few behind? Keep me posted as to what you find out, how are you contacting them via phone?

Nevermind, I saw you said call center. I just double checked processing times, and it says applications received on August 28th.. I have not heard a word from anyone. Would my best bet be to phone as well?

I'm calling them on Skype through 1613 944 4000 (since 1800 numbers don't work). Then, you get the option to be transferred to CIC. Finally managed to get on to the waiting list (before, I had been cut off automatically for "high volume of calls"). Been waiting for 30 minutes. Will let you know what they say.

As to whether or not forgetting to write OUTLAND delays things, I would not think so, but I have nothing to back up my claim. You can always call them up to check if you're worried. (And I believe it's possible to email them).

Okay thanks, I called my husband and told him. Maybe we will get an email today with SA approval (Fingers crossed). I checked online and it said if you have an email from a CIC officer, or a financial receipt you can check the status of your application. I think I might try to do that by our financial receipt. Keep me updated on what it is they say to you. Thanks!

I don't mean to be blowing this forum up but when I did check by my financial receipt # it said it cannot be found. So maybe they haven't updated or even began processing it....
I tried to find an email for them but I can't, unless my emotions are getting the best of me and I'm in tunnel vision mode. Can anyone provide the email address? Also, has anyone had any luck with email?..

I don't mean to be blowing this forum up but when I did check by my financial receipt # it said it cannot be found. So maybe they haven't updated or even began processing it....

Regarding checking status, ECAS is not a very reliable way as whatever information it has is entered by the visa office handling your application. There are lots of visa offices, and lots of officers at each VO. Also, from what I have read ECAS will not tell you anything until AFTER you have received SA.

My wife and I have not received SA (applied much later than you) and we cannot use our UCI's or our fee receipt.

Regarding checking status, ECAS is not a very reliable way as whatever information it has is entered by the visa office handling your application. There are lots of visa offices, and lots of officers at each VO. Also, from what I have read ECAS will not tell you anything until AFTER you have received SA.

My wife and I have not received SA (applied much later than you) and we cannot use our UCI's or our fee receipt.

I know that is the case for most situations but just for the record I can check my (PA's) status on ECAS even though we haven't received SA yet. It says "Application received". I used my UCI from previous work permits to login.

I applied on the 22nd and only got SA on Friday. And with the long weekend I don't think it's unreasonable for someone who applied on the 25th to hear within the next day or two. I had all updated forms too. So don't panic.

Also, my ecas doesn't work yet even though I HAVE SA because sometimes they are pokey... so don't panic there either.

I think you will hear soon!

Thank You for the reassurance! I just assumed ( & you know what they say about assuming) that we did something wrong. I figured with a long weekend it may be delayed but I saw someone say they got SA yesterday... So confused on how this works. Hopefully by the end of the week I have good news!

I completely understand. My app was perfect too and had updated forms and still people who applied after I did were getting approved first. I thought I must have done something wrong too.. then SA came. I think you will be just fine. Good luck!

I was going through the same feelings wondering if my application was okay, etc. as I had sent it 25th August. I received my SA today.

Though I had requested Hong Kong office and the email tells me it will be sent to the Ottawa office... I assume Ottawa means it's 'inland' application? Anyone know?

Can anyone give me a # to contact CIC to find out if thwir reviewing our case? My husband called toll free from within Canada and it didnt give him the option to speak to a live person and asked for an app #. We dont have an app number yet.
