Oh yes! I was in the room and I was quite pleased with how they announced it. I was pissed because they were taking too long. But in the end, it was worth it! Good luck for Friday!

Hi TRM2011, congratulations! I took my test/interview on that same date and got my oath as well (was in the room when the officer announced that we'd passed).

Had a similar experience overall...

All the best, here's to smooth sailing on Feb. 6th!

Congrats TRM2011?
How many days of absences did you have? What extra paperwork did you send? How did you made it as clear as possible in the application?

Thanks for sharing

Hi Guys...

Here is my timeline:

Application received by CIC - March 6, 2014
Started Processing - April 23, 2014
Transferred to Local office (Mississauga) - August 2014
Test date - January 30, 2015 (letter dated January 6, 2015)
Oath date - February 6, 2015

Since I have a lot of travel, the interviewer had to spend some time to match all the stamps to all the absences as per my application form. I had sent in some extra paperwork due to the absences and tried to make it as clear as possible in my application.

Good luck people!

I had a total of 291 days absence.

I submitted my full passport copy along with translations needed for any pages, employment letters for all the jobs in Canada, Notice of Assessments for all 4 years and final pay slips for all the 4 years.

I know they do not ask for extra documentation, but I felt like sending it anyway.

Thanks very for sharing. I always thought extra documents can be very helpful in certain cases. It's good to have your confirmation on that.

Yes, definitely. I had a lawyer prepare my application and she definitely sent in copies of my Notice of Assessments and leases, just to be safe. Also, she included a statement in there that identified how exactly these documents supported my ties to Canada. Hard to be sure if it really helped, but I'm taking the oath this Friday, so I'd say better to be safe.

Hello Donvalley,
I checked Aug spreadsheet seems a few applicants not even in process yet including me. What're ur opinions?
I felt very jealous that most of east coast applicants got test invited and oath but west province.
