congrats Amy 2008!

I'm having my oath on Feb 9 in Scarborough. Single applicant. Does my spouse count as a guest? or can I bring another guest in addition to my spouse? Thanks.

Only one guest per family (not per person) allowed inside the ceremony room. The staff announced this while lining up, before proceeding to ceremony room. We had three persons taking oath and another family friend came along with us (total two guests) but after they keep announcing this, she went for shopping at town center! The Scarborough office area is small and bit congested too which limits accommodating too many people as guests I think. The story was different when I took oath at St. Clair office (years back), they have a bigger hall and they allowed whole family inside.

Great news from Scarborough today. I had my test this morning (10:15 am) at the Scarborough office, along with what seemed like 60 other people. Test was easy (I scored 20/20), and we were given oath letters for Feb 26, 2015.

Some observations that might be helpful:
1. I read the Discover Canada book twice and did about 3 of those online practice tests. Read the book and practice some free tests and you'll be very fine.
2. Most of us this morning had yellow test invitation sheets going in. We were given pink sheets for the oath ceremony.
3. The interviews were very short and quick. I had 46 days outside Canada, and the officer basically cross-checked my absent days and stamps in my passport. I brought my older passport as well.
4. All immigration officers present were very kind and warm. Don't stress. The only question I was asked is what I do now - I am a recent law school graduate.

They did not look at all my other documents - I had my employment letters, boarding passes for some trips, T4, and I was not asked for those. Just have your 2 pieces of ID, passport covering the 4 yrs, and PR original document, and card.
5. Interestingly I noted that the lady said at the start of the test that today's group gets the "express". That means oaths will be handed out until the ceremony on Feb 26 fills up. That made me hurry in finishing my test haha. Everyone before me got an oath invite. I'm guessing those with afternoon tests today may not be as lucky.
6. Parking is $3 on site for 2 hours. My boyfriend came with me and was able to sit in the waiting room area. So if someone comes with you, they can sit around. The mall is also very close by.

Good luck to those still waiting. The journey is almost over.

Not sure, I could have been for:

- I used a mailing address (we were about to move)
- I have around 35 exits for a total of 156 days
- I have two passports from differents countries (one with one last name and the other with 2 last names)
- I applied with 1096 days of physical presence

But as I told before, I think I'll never know for sure.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Did anyone who took test receive their Oath date? after being told that they needed to verify entry/exit. Please advise how long it took.
I had my test and interview on Jan 27th. After they wanted to verify my exit/entries through ICES. It took them several days and they mailed me my oath invitation letter on Feb 4th to appear on Feb 19th.

Hey guys,

I just wrote my exam this morning at Vancouver office. The test was super easy. My interview was so short as well. However, some people's interview took for ever to finish and I had to wait till their interview was over. Even though I finished and handed in my test earlier than most of other people, I was called for the interview among the last 20-30 people.

The officer only asked about my current job, my trips, and my passport and IDs. He cross referenced my Entry / Exit stamps with my calculation sheet and told me he doesn't see any issue with my file and I should receive Oath letter within 3-5 months.

Hi guys. I wrote my exam this morning at Vancouver as well. As OP-POP said the test was not difficult. but when i had my interview, i kinda had different answer from the officer. He told me that your file is fine and it will be reviewed again, if everything is fine, you will receive a oath letter within 3-5 months. Just don't understand what "it will be reviewed again " mean...
