Hi guys. I wrote my exam this morning at Vancouver as well. As OP-POP said the test was not difficult. but when i had my interview, i kinda had different answer from the officer. He told me that your file is fine and it will be reviewed again, if everything is fine, you will receive a oath letter within 3-5 months. Just don't understand what "it will be reviewed again " mean...
That's the answer i got this morning as well -- i asked what remains to be reviewed and the officer said to ensure nothing drastic has changed since when you applied. Didn't pursue any further questions, for obvious reasons... 3-5 months it is.

Just to share this - When CIC says "your file has been transferred to your local office" it has not yet reached the local office they said your file is in transit and this can take weeks to reach your local office. My file was transferred from January 15th and they kept on saying my file is in transit although ECAS says file transferred. Until this morning when i called they said my file is now at my local office.

Just a slight continuation of what I wrote earlier - I just called back CIC and was told my file was accepted yesterday by my local office. From January 15th when it was "transferred". So almost a month and who knows some other local office may take longer.

Cheer up guys, I believe this to be good news, atleast your files are now accepted and not just transferred waiting to be accepted, to my understanding they tend to not accept for test if anything else is needed. If they do then that would pose a risk for unnecessary delays after test.

In my case My file was transferred in December to local office but was not accepted by Mississauga (Local office), due to outstanding prints which should have been requested (due to different name declaration) as per policy, so instead my file was referred to St.Claire, now that prints have been submitted my file has been transferred back to Mississauga from St. Claire awaiting acceptance.

So I think acceptance by local office means you are def in line for invite, I suspect anyday now you will have an update depending on their workload

Stay positive ;)

i mean when u exit toronto they dont stamp your passport and what if u have a longer transit lets say 16hrs.

for eg u leave canada on 15 jan and passport wasnt stamped, u reach destination on 17th jan due to transit and you passport gets entry stamp.

Thanks latitudeofgratitude,

I do hope that I can see or hear some positive news anytime now as u said depending on their workload. My application was received by CIC on the 28th - A day shy of yours. They had passed August 28th (opening mails) and I still didn't see anything online. I had to call them with my receipt & tracking # for them to look for my application as the date they are opening has passed my date of receipt and days after my application was loaded on the site. They kept on telling me maybe your application was return. I had to tell them I know how the process works. If your application is not return for at least 3 weeks after received by CIC it means its good to go. There is a team that opens all applications to make sure everything you sent is correct otherwise it will be returned to you in like 3 wks. If I had not done that I maybe here still waiting. There is no need for persons to re-send their application. I saw a case where someone re-send their application and later received AOR for the first application.

Hi DAN11,
Just FYI: My application has not returned since was received in August 2014. CIC told me the app is okay but last week my ecas got updated CIC is sending me a letter and I'm looking forward to receiving it in a mail. I'm very excited don't know what's CIC sending to me. Again, 5-6 months I have not received anything from them neither app returned.

Wish you luck!

Hi alexdive,

The way you started your statement with "Just FYI" sounds like I mentioned something regarding you. Anyways, good that your going on. Many others can re-late to what I mentioned earlier. Wish you luck too!
