Hello Everyone,

My application for citizenship was received by office on 25th of August 2014. I have not received any notification yet.
Considering the fact that few users are getting emails with processing status
what are the next steps or how it takes from the time you get email.

Thanks
Getcanadavisa.

Guys it is all OK some june applicants still waiting for responce

I think the first step is to keep any eye on your emails especially the junk/spam folder.
Once you get an AOR in any form i.e. email/mail/e-cas, get relaxed that your application is received as acceptable/complete; no more returns.
There is nothing to do or we can do there after in terms of process; other than wait fingers crossed or keep praying that things get a happy ending soon rather than thrown into a lengthy never ending loop of mailing exercises.
It is a good idea for people who are not familiar or less interested in history, to get some knowledge browsing through the citizenship test quizzes online. Good use of time.
Otherwise: If expecting an RQ for some reason, this is time to get all documentations ready rather than waiting for CIC and wasting another two or three months in the process.

Don't worry guys, it will take up to end of November for majority of "Augustians" to get their first response. Only tip of the August pileup is opened now, too early to worry about.

Hi fellows, I applied also in August, I am a senior. I am waiting to see my e-cas online, because when I did my application I didn't wrote an email address for CIC... I sent my application on August 10. Good luck for everybody.

Welcome to this thread!
Keep vigil on your postal mails then. E-cas may or may not show up provided they are switching the system now. Wish you good luck too...

Hello Everyone,

Just asking with curiosity
I am resident of North York East close to Eitobicoke.

Thanks

steven77,

Where did you apply from ? Looks like you saw it in e-CAS and not thro email. That's odd.... so then they still seem to be doing a mix of email confirmation in some cases and old fashioned e-CAS in others ? ::)
Yes, you are right. It seems that CIC still just update e-cas without sending out email notifications for some cases. So besides check your email, you should regularly check your e-CAS at CIC website.
I applied from Vancouver

Hi guys,

I was checking my email everyday for the past week coz i was expecting an email confirmation. I was also checking my ecas at the same time. But a while ago when I checked my ecas, there were 2 items in my status...first was IN PROCESS, which stated that they received my application on Aug 18 and have sent the AOR and the book at the same date, as well as informed that they have started processing my case last Oct 14. The 2nd was RECEIVED, which just states they they have received my payment and application. I never got an email as of this writing, though.

Good luck everyone!

What I DONT understand is. Why some people whose applcn reached CIC in late July got only an email ackn. but cannot see anything in e-CAS.

And SOME applicants whose applcn reached CIC in August did not get an email but can indeed see their e-CAS. How can they be switching systems if some applicants after a certain "CIC received" date can access e-CAS ?

Are they deciding who to email and who not to email ?

I guess phase-out i.e. gradual removal of old system and at the same time introducing new system another side. So some applicants are getting old system/e-cas and others are on new model/e-mail AOR.
