Hi Canadiano,

I am guessing that you would have provided your mailing as well as home address within the Application itself,
So unless your application was received and refused before being assessed for completeness on the same day, there is a high chance that any return mail would be sent to the mailing address provided within the application itself.

If you still feel uncomfortable, since you are now at that 2 month mark, I would keep checking work mail, home address mail, as well as your email, (if you provided an email address on your application) and if you hear nothing by the end of the week , then call CIC and ask for a status update.

However some one else with more experience may feel free to chime in.

On that note I had a weird dream last night that my application was returned for incompleteness , woke up and realized it was only a dream , thank Goodness! Its a week short 2 months since I submitted my application, So keeping fingers crossed that I hear some good news by early November.

Ecas site is down so I can't check.

Congrats!!! We got the AOR on the same day.

Guys my application was received by CIC on August 5, 2014. I have not received AOR and my ECAS is not active yet. When i called CIC yesterday, they agent could not verify whether or not my application is "in process" or returned to me. I'm now worried.
Anyone in my shoes i.e first week of August?

Dont know if any one else noticed, But E-cas is down again, so either tons of people went home tonight and tried checking their application status', or this is like the good old days when Ecas used to crash a lot, then tons of updates would follow.
*** Lets hope CIC Isn't just carrying out scheduled maintenance causing the slowing and crashing we are experiencing, and that they are actually busy updating our client files.
Got a feeling we will get some more updates by the end of the week.

I have no ideas since some of us got emails some by mails. I'm very tired of this game......

Hello Folks,

Does anyknow know how CIC return applications? Do they send them by regular mail? (which I believe for sure.) What envelop do they use? The one I sent? As when I sent my application, the envelop I used was my company's. The mailing adress at the left top indicated my company's address. The fee for FeDex was way cheaper using the company's account. But in the application, I wroted my homd address as I didn't want to receive any personal stuff at work. (There are possibility to lose it as most of company gets tons of mails every day.)

Mine was received on August 15... And I am now worried about what if they return my application..

When i got my returned application it was sealed on a regular short brown envelop. my application received on august 14, 2014 and got the returned application on the mailbox on october 10, 2014. i think they sent out the letter on october 3 as the letter of incompleteness was dated october 3 too.
