can someone tell me what happens during this stage: AOR? do they just review the papers and make sure you sign and fill in all the slots? and what happens during the SA process? thought they would be done the same time.

Only those applications with missing signatures, forms and lacking documents are returned.That means ours are complete so we had our Acknowledgement of Receipt. Another 10-20 after that the SA. After a successful SA our apps will be transferred to Manila and from then the long wait starts

Hope this gives you an idea.

This is for all whose application has been returned: just wanted to tell that not to worry to much about this because my application was sent back too (I missed one signature) but when CIC received my application again they sent the AOR within 12-13 days! So chill out! don't be sad

Congratulations to you sing_tao! I also got my AOR on a weekend hehehe. Maybe because we are hours advanced from Canada.
You've been updated on the spreadsheet. A couple weeks to go and your SA will follow.

You should wait for a few days. Also, when you put the UCI No. and use your sponsor's birthdate and other details.
When you use your Application No. you should use your birthdate and other details.

You should be able to access ECAS at least 2-3 days after AOR. Mine worked that way.

I got an email today confirming CIC had received the application, so I'm assuming that qualifies as the AOR. If I'm wrong, let me know.

I'm so excited. It seems like I've been waiting forever to get this process started and it's finally happening.

Congratulations that was fast, 11 days for AOR, you have been updated...

Hopefully with God's grace, we'll receive our SA couple of weeks from now.

Same thing happened to me, so much frustrated! I sent the application again and I had to start all over again!

Don't be depressed or sad by what happened, be thankful you have done it this time and were able to send your applications again. That had happened to some people too

Just think positive that despite all the hardships, efforts, money and time we put here, the great blessing to be with our families awaits us all...

I am a little worry why my AOR hasn't been sent to me yet? I also want to ask you guys about the mistake that I had in my proof of relationship letter; I accidentally wrote 2012, instead of 2013 for our marriage; the official documents show that we got married on 2013 and also in the forms I put the correct date which is 2013 however in this letter I accidentally 2012, will it cause any problem for me? will they sent the documents back to me?

I don't think u need to worry. Just wait few days and u will see it in ur email

I think nothing more imortnat than the forms. If ur forms are OK. You have absolutely nothing to worry about
