It was right at the 60 day mark that CIC revisited our application and we had a decision a couple days later. I was also afraid to email the CIC in case we pissed someone off and they threw our app at the bottom of a pile. But apparently that didn't happen as I had writen them a couple times...

I would go to your HR and ask for a letter even if you haven't been working there all that long. CIC asked for a Letter of Employment and paystubs for my husband. Turns out CIC actually called his employer to verify the employment after we sent it in. I didn't think it was a requirement either...

My husband had a similiar situation where there was a chunk of time he was on EI and unemployed. We actually submitted the application while he was on EI since we had found out that it didn't disqualify him from being a sponsor. The CIC did ask us for copies of his current paystubs and a letter...

It probably depends on who you have processing your application. I sent in copies of my passport with the application and then completely skipped the PPR and went straight to Decision Made. Yes someone please go unlock the mysteries of the CIC.. lol
