Hi Guys,

Could someone please answer the below questions:

1) whats the average timeline after medicals are done till recieiving PPR request ?
2) Currently me & my spouse are in UK, and we have booked our medicals from UK. After completing medicals, for some personal reasons my wife would need to go to India. Can we request CIC to sent the PPR request for my wife to be stamped from India ?
3) After Visa stamping, is it required for me and my wife both to be landed together in Canada ? . Or is it possible that first I land in Canada and my wife can come later.?

Sorry for too many questions, but please need your answers

Thanks in advance.

Just received my CoPR in the mail yesterday!

I called the CIC number to ask how long the wait would be if I were to land at a local office.
He told me that it would be around 2 months.
I think I will just go visit Niagara Falls on a weekend to land!

Good luck to everyone else waiting for MR/PPR/CoPR!

COPR arrived today!

Now I'm going to try rent a car and head to Buffalo tomorrow to exit and renter Canada.

Quick question for those who've gone through this already:
Once we've landed, will we automatically get Permanent Resident cards in the mail, or is that something separate we need to apply for?

Thanks!

Congrats guys! ;-) I hope we'll follow you soon... 8)

Drove down to Niagara Falls today and landed at Queenston-Lewiston Bridge.

Thanks everyone and good luck to those still waiting!

It was pretty straight forward for us:

We entered the US by car, stopped briefly in Buffalo, and then drove back across the Canadian border.

At the border we notified the CBSA agent that we intended to land, they briefly looked at our CoPR & Passports, and asked the usual questions on entry.
They then gave us a piece of yellow paper and then directed us to pull over into the parking lot on the side and enter the immigration building.

Inside we walked straight up to an agent (Tuesday morning is apparently a great time to land, no line), and handed them our CoPR & passports.
They asked for something with our address on it, I gave them my drivers license, had us sign & initial the CoPR, and they had us sit down while they processed the paperwork.

About 10 minutes later they called us back up, told us the PR cards would come in the mail in 4-6 weeks, stapled a copy of the CoPR into our passports, stamped them, and handed them back to us.
And we were done!

After that, we got back in our car, paid the toll, and drove back to Toronto.
Back in Toronto we managed to swing by Service Canada before they closed and got our permanent Social Insurance Numbers.

Thanks , could you please tell which bridge you used for landing ?
