CIC works in mysterious ways. Some people get it after their medicals are uploaded and some others get it after the receive medical request. However I did not wait to receive the RPRF request, I paid yesterday and sent my receipt to the cost recovery email. But I suggest that if you can pay right away you should go ahead and make the payment, I wouldnt wait for their email especially after receiving MR.

Guys, Can anyone answer this please.

Can I say that receiving medical request means that the process is at a stage where MR results and RPRF are needed to issue CoPR? or the VO is still performing the eligibility checks etc.

Also, what is PPR?

Yes, by the time you receive the MR your eligibility is completed, in most cases. However,
every application is different.
PPR = PassPort Request

Here is the first line of an actual RPRF. This will answer your first questions:

"This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose."

Hello members,

Great news! My husband (primary applicant) and I received our medical request from CIC 2 days back (Mar 25). Our application was received by CIC on Aug 21, 2013.
We have been given the standard 60 days (May 25) to complete the tests and we have already booked an appt with an CIC approved doc for next week.

Here's the problem - im 7 months pregnant and hence cannot do the X-ray until the baby is born which is around June 4th. Could you please advice on what we should do next:

- Go ahead with the rest of the tests?
- Write to CIC after / before the tests informing them of the situation and asking them for extension?

Is there anything else we should be doing? Appreciate your response!

This has been discussed many times. Chest X-Ray during pregnancy is totally fine.
There's a lot of opinions out there, but 99% say that it's fine and doesn't cause harm to the baby or yourself.

However, it's your decision, and if you do not undergo the complete medicals now, you will have to
inform CIC about the situation and ask for an extension until after you gave birth to your baby.

I just completed medical for self and spouse here in Sweden (Although I have to pay hell lot of money 8400 SEK for both).
Also paid the RPRF also. So now I believe next step would be for passport request if things goes well.

Yes, next step will be PPR.
How much does that come to in $CAN?
