Yes you are right I just checked... 8 months to approve him as sponsor..and another 8 months for my assessment.
Honestly speaking all I want to make sure is his application wont be rejected for any reason by adding me as his wife.Because my work permit expires in January 2015. and my concern is that what if they find it suspicious that we got married few months before my visa expires and in that case reject both of us... I don't think I could live with a fact that he got rejected because of me....Although we have been together 2 years and live together past few months.
Do you guys think they would find it suspicious we got married in the middle of the process and few months before my visa expires?

Thanks guys for all your replies.

Hi Toby,

I was trying to find any post related to passport stamping at different location only for dependent, but couldn't get any information.

Do you have any idea how to handle this situation? My wife is in India and but I am in Canada. Is it possible that we can have stamping at different place? Do you suggest this option? Is it going to add any delay in process?

Thanks in advance for your valued suggestion

Nowadays, they request PCC from countries to which you have traveled. A came across a few posts where PCC has been requested by CIC from an applicant, who traveled to France on a Business trip.

You can get the visa stamped in India as most of the applicants are doing that and it is working for single applicants. But I am not sure about more than one applicant. After receiving PPR, you may have to contact CIC and get it clarified.
