Hello guyz,

I am an august 2013 applicant. I have big problem coming up. My company is going to shutdown completely. meanwhile if CIC ask me to send an updated reference letter from my employer than what should I do ? Should I get an updated reference letter from my company now ? Because they told me later on nobody will be present to sign my letter and should my letter signed by the same person who signed my previous letter or different person can sign too ? What should I do ? Your help will be really appreciated.

Thank you

Hey I am in similar boat to you. my company closed down back in Sept and I'm still waiting on LMO from new company so I'm unemployed. this doesn't matter to cic as long as you met they one year of working required at time of application.I emailed cic told them the situation they emailed back pretty quick and said my job info was updated.I would suggest emailing asap as our applications will be being processed pretty soon.

contact details have changed recently you can look them up here >> cectoolkit.weebly .com/3/post/2014/01/how-do-i-contact-citizenship-and-immigration-canada-regarding-my-cec-application.html

Folks,
When I submitted my application in August, I did not put my email (I know, careless eh). I just realized and sent email to CEC to update my email.

If they can't sent MR due to absence of email, do they send by mail?

Anyone had any experience?

Thanks

Yes, if there's no valid email address in your application they will mail the MR to your mailing address.

Thanks Toby!

Another question,

Can some applicants be exempted from MRs? Or does everyone need do it?

The reason I ask is what if you have been in Canada for a long time as a student / worker. Or that doesn't even matter, I am guessing.

Thanks

Every applicant has to undergo medical examinations. However, previous ( still valid ) medical test results from other cic applications
are accepted in some cases.

Guyss I am eagerly waiting for the CIC to ask for medical, i am just really curious if anyone doing upfront medical exams?and sending them to CIC, I am just scared they might reject my application.

Please advise, i just cant wait anymore... waiting since August, my AOR arrived in 10/11/2013

Anyone have any idea when will the process will be over? atleast the medical part?

You need to be patient. Patience is the key! Aug applicants will hear soon, might be in 2 weeks time.

There is a separate post discussing upfront medical, you can find info there.

they are doing July medicals at the moment, took them less than two weeks to get through all of june so im guessing (and hoping)medical requests will all be out before the end of march.

A few January 2103 applications are still waiting for approval but a few June applicants have been approved.Im hoping we start to see the first august applicants get approved in Mid April ( that my be a bit ambitious) but for some could be as late as October.

Thats just my opinion going off what others are saying

July should be done by next week. People who applied on 19th July got MR....I bet August will hear before 10 MARCH....AND FIRST week of april will belong to september...

Hopefully next week we will see MR coming...All d best to each n everyone....
